Loving God our Father, please reach now to embrace PcolaSingleMom and her son, showering them both with your unconditional love that they may know your grace, peace, and forgiveness; helping Pcola to recognize we all come before you with the stain of sin on our fingertips and that none are worthy but by you; granting that Pcola will find within her heart the willingness to accept your forgiveness and the overwhelming joy that floods from both the forgiveness and the acceptance; and we ask that your guiding hand will bring Pcola to the means to provide for her little nuclear family. I’m a single mother. I became pregnant out of wedlock and I carry an enormous amount of guilt around. I feel like my friends and most of my family is very disappointed in me and doesn’t want to associate with me - because they feel I’m a “bad seed”. I suffer from depression and have sought counseling through my local parish counselor. It helped for a short while, but I could not afford to continue seeing the counselor, so I’ve tried to cope on my own. I’m currently struggling. I met a man about 8 months ago and dated and thought that my dreams of having a “family” as society’s stanards would be soon on its way. We have since broken up since he had to move away for a job. I’m very distraught and afraid that I will be alone forever. I believe that somehow my suffering with relationships will be penance for disobeying God’s will and becoming pregnant out of wedlock. I have guilt. I cannot forgive myself because I think that would just be too easy. I feel like I will always have to struggle in life and love because of the bad choices I’ve made. Right now is very very difficult for me and I wish that prayers or some sort of intervention by Christ to give me strength and people in my life that love me and want to encourage me to grow. I pray every night for others and feel wrong to pray for myself - so I’m asking if someone from this group would please ask God to give me clear guidance about what He wants done in my life - Please give me the strength and knowledge to understand and accept His will.

Abba, please surround this beautiful Mom with the peace and grace that comes only from you, lift her Father so she can acknowledge the wonderful gift she has given to you by accepting her son and giving him life. I honor and praise you Father, bless our trials for with them we grow, bless the gifts of pain in our lives because it is a moment to reach for you. Father I ask for peace for this woman, child, Mother I ask for an army of angel’s to surround, to protect, guide and lovingly embrace her.
