My OCD is spiking again…I worry about the possibility of going to hell. Even though I avoid mortal sin, pray constantly, and try to do anything else God wants me to, I’m still afraid. I just want peace of mind so badly. I’m afraid of accepting the mark of the beast, especially since I have no idea what it will be. Sometimes I worry that I have already.

Please pray for my well-being. Thank you.

An explanation of the mark of the beast would also be very much appreciated. OCD has produced images of Satan scratching three sixes onto my forehead before, so that’s a rather sensitive area for me.
 
Be not afraid as the Lord said. I pray that he and his holy mother will guide you out of the darkness you are currently experiencing. Unless you freely give yourself to the devil he cannot claim your soul.

What is ocd?

Keep praying the rosary. It is the best ‘weapon’ against evil.
 
Don’t worry, Kera, God is in control. As far as the mark of the beast goes, if there is a literal fulfillment, it won’t be for many years. The Springtime for the Church comes first. 🙂

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

Father God I pray for Kera and her fears Lord. Father I pray that You would teach her that You are the merciful healer of those who turn in truth to You. Heavenly Father we know You to be kind but also just. I pray therefor tha Kera would put her trust in You. Lord You are the healer and restorer of our soul and You have rescued us from the fall. We know that You search out the lost and would leave the 99 to find the 1 because of Your great compassion & kindness. Therefore Lord we are not reticent to pray Your will be done and your will is always rescue, help, befriend, teach, and encourage all in You. I ask Lord that You would put people into her life that will guide her in Your Truth. Father God lead her to church and confession that she might become a true partaker in the communion of saints. This I pray in the Name of Your Son, Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit forever and ever. AMEN

Give to Christ your weakness and He will give you completeness. Give Him your troubles and burdens and He will give His Peace. **MY HUMBLE UNDERSTANDING OF THE MARK

My understanding of it is primarily from Scripture and the early church fathers and my understanding of the mark is somewhat immersed in symbolism rather a literal mark. However I also take the fathers caution that we do not necessarily understand the entire meaning but still must be wary and live to Christ. Here is my understanding of the mark and I use it as spiritual inference rather than any bonafide teaching. Still I find it helpful to consider much of the weight of Scripture in my study.
Remember the mark of the passover? It was the blood of the Lamb sprinkled on the doorpost of every house that believed. In Hebrew the letter Tau, the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet was used a mark. The Tau was written in the form of a cross. It has been Christian practice to mark the forehead in baptism as a symbol of the cross. The early church fathers taught that the antichrist will be the exact opposite of Christ Jesus. But, whereas the world rejected Christ beating Him beyond recognition and nailing Him to a tree, the world will run after the antichrist and embrace his teachings, which may not only be unrighteous but utterly disgusting. From all I can gather he will be the champion of the unrighteous and just as those baptized into Christ are to live to Him & love His righteousness have His mark the symbol of the cross, the antiChrist and those who love his unrighteousness will also have his mark. I’d hate to speculate any further than that because it is tangential to what is needed. To believe in the cross of Christ and His resurrection and to learn and love His Ways, making your heart an abode by which He can construct His temple in You by the power of His Holy Spirit.

please hear our prayers for our sister Kera.Father we ask You would heal Kera in mind body and spirit.Grant her strength and courage to face her OCD.May she feel Your love for her and feel strengthened by this.Please Lord when she feels anxious,worried,obsessive thoughts guide her to heal.Open her heart and mind Lord to hear You guide her.Bless dear kera Lord and heal her we pray.Through Christ our Lord Amen
 
Thank you all so much. I’m feeling so much better now. That peace, love, and joy I feel when I pray to the Holy Spirit is coming back in spades. Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. Whenever these OCD episodes kick up, I tend to get better at dealing with them each time because I know that God is there with me. That song and explanation of the mark was also very, very helpful. Thank you.

Amen. Father we do pray that dear Kera would feel the gentleness of Your peace and know that she is only truly complete in You. You are the One who created her and You Lord know what is best for her all we can pray is that Your Good and Loving Will would draw her ever closer to You that she will learn to trust You like a child trusts her Daddy. Lord I ask that You would protect her from anxiety and thoughts that tear down and that she would be built up in You. Father I pray that You would surround her with friends from her church that will pray with her, read Scripture with her, building up her faith and each other faith in You in the Name of Jesus. Amen
