I am mostly home bound due to breaking some bones in my right foot. For now I can’t drive, have little company, few to no friends around here, and a special needs adult child who lives in a group home across town. I’ve tried to keep my spirits up, but feel so down and lonely. I’ve not been to Mass for two weeks now and from what I hear medically it will be at least six more weeks until I am more mobile. Please pray for me that these bones heal and that I don’t have to have any surgery. Please also pray that I can accept the Lord’s will whatever happens. I so miss Mass and and the Sacrament of Confession. Thank you all for your prayers and God bless you all.

Another of our members has done a similar thing, and she is confined with her broken ankle, and finding it hard also, and I’ll keep you in my prayers with her each day.

Jesus please help Teresapia to find peace, and a sense of Your loving presence, as she recovers from her fracture.

I was grateful that the orthopedic surgeon did for me avoid the surgery he believed necessary when I was unders anaesthetic with both bones in the right wrist broken a couple of years ago, and remembering my gratitude, I ask You to please ensure if possible that Teresapias fracture can be successfully aligned and repaired without surgery.

I ask You to help Teresapia in the loneliness and sadness she feels, including in being unable to go to Mass…will You inspire someone in her parish to ensure that she receives You in the Sacrament each week.

Please ensure that there is someone generous and faithful to help her in the care of her loved one.

Jesus, please help her to recover smootly and well, and then to successfully rehabilitate her leg to regain mobility and strength.

Above all, please be with her in love and peace, and help her to grow with you in this time of recovery.

St Teresa, St Therese, and Padre St Pio, please pray for her and her adult child

Contact your local parish and have the Eucharist brought to you. Can you watch EWTN?
Listen to radio? Or do you have any good books to read or reread? I went through a long
period where the hours at home and weekends seemed so lonely, even though I was going
to Mass, etc. Most of my friends were married and had their families/activities. Many of
the activities I had done were with a husband, and that was no longer possible for many
reasons. (The biggest: he was my ex!!)
It was not the dire situation of not being able to walk, so your situation is much worse.
But lonely is lonely.
God speed your healing.

Thank you all for responding. I’ve been through this sort of thig with my let foot and much worse, so I really can’t complain. I appreciate your prayers and concerns. I have plenty of books to read, EWTN to watch complete with their Masses. So, I guess that is more blesings than could be. I’ll contact my parish and see if there is someone who will bring me Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I’ll also be remembering all of you in my prayers with Thanksgiving. God bless you all and thank you once again. BTW my name is Mary

Nota Bene: Truly am fond of that Hymn “Spirit of the living God fall afresh.” Also it touched my heart to know that there are friends out there praying for me and my daughter. She and I have been fortunate enough to travel to Ireland twice and found it a beautiful country with lovely people. God bless you and keep you safe. MMM

Lord, I pray that Mary’s foot heals properly and that she doesn’t need any surgery. Please help her to get through this lonely time and help her to heal quickly. May she keep strong in faith, hope and love and never be separated from you. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

To St. Gabriel and Others: Thank you for your prayers! God bless you both. Just knowing there are folks like you and other is heart-warming. You are in my prayers. M

Once again, to you all who have written with such kind thoughts and prayers–thank you and God bless you. All of you have warmed my heart! Know you are in my prayers for God’s best blessings he has for such wonderful people! Mary

Mary (you are blessed in your name),

I’ve been in a similar situation (and couldn’t drive for a year) and I know it is hard. But every cross is a blessing from God! Be of good cheer, and know that all this will at last come to an end.

A prayer for you to one who shares your name:

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb
Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour
of our death.
Amen.

Mary, I ask God to keep you peaceful each day, and able to sleep well at night as you recover.

Thank you all for your prayers. I believe that God can heal. Also I know of the crosses He can send us and they are to be carried and also offered up in reparation. God bless you all. Mary
