Please pray for me. I am feeling a little overwhelmed. The past year and a half has been very trying for me. My sister-in-laws brother was killed in an accident. Then my step-daughters mother was diagnosed with breast cancer Christmas Eve 2008. She had surgery in February 2009. In March 2009, I was diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer. In May, I had my the tumor and my right kidney removed. My oldest cousin’s only son was shot to death this past Summer. My step-daughters mother had a very hard time with the chemotherapy. In December 2009, I found out that my younger cousin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, and only has a short time to live (I have asked for prayers for him in another post.) I’m normally a very private person, so it is difficult for me to ask this, but I really feel the need.
 
Hi. It’s overwhelming just to read all you’ve been through and are still going through.
Even some of that would have knocked most of us over.
I will keep you in my prayers every day.

Our God, we humans feel need for practical alleviation in times of grief, difficulty and anxiety. My family and I are embroiled in grief. Please clasp us to Your heart.
Please lift our spirits with Your love, and with the kindness of those whom You send.
If in our sorrow we doubt Your mercy, please accept our heartache and tears as prayer for our family. Forgive us if we feel anger or dismay, in our frustrated yearning for real help for loved ones in their genuine needs, difficulty and pain.
Let Your love and light surround us and protect our family from further loss, illness, and grief.

Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,

I am so sorry for your worries and illnesses in the family.May God bless you

I’m upset and disturbed,
and I pray that You will grant me
the grace of inner Peace.
As You commanded the storm winds at sea to be calm,
command the storms in my life to be calmed.
Give me the patience I need
to cope with the burdens and anxieties of my life.
Grant me the strength to better deal with my problems,
and the understanding to be more tolerant
and kind to others.
Teach me to seek after Your will
which alone brings peace of mind
and peace of heart.

Wow! You have been through so much, in such a short time. I am praying for you …
 
Jesus, after so many personal and family tragedies, Billy is now watching yet another member of his family, his cousin dying. Please stand with him and his family in their grief.
Please give Billy and his family calm and peace, and grant that their lives are blighted with no more tragedy and loss. Please help them build up their lives in health and happiness.

A PRAYER
IN TIME OF CHANGE
Eternal and everliving God,
I am involved in a major change in my life,
and it is quite unsettling.
I know that for us creatures,
change is an indication of life,
but I still find it hard to accept.
Enable me to see your hand in it,
subtly bringing about your plan for me
and enabling me to come closer to You.
Make me appreciate the many good aspects of change
and learn to live with the bad aspects.
Teach me to be pliable and adaptable to any change,
fully aware that once change stops for me,
I will no longer be alive on this earth.
Amen
 
Our God, my family and I are full of grief. Please hold us to Your heart.

Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
 
You and your family have been in my thoughts. And I remembered you during Communion today

I just want to give a big thank you to everyone who offered prayers for me and my family.
