Hello everyone,

Well, I’ve been having a really difficult time in my faith lately. I have a friend who is practicing witchcraft, and I’ve been praying nonstop for them. It’s literally sucking me dry. My heart is like a desert, big, open, and barren. During Mass today my heart was literally in pain during Communion. I don’t feel like my faith is working anymore, and I don’t feel like I have anything to offer God. I’ve been having trouble praying, I don’t know what to say anymore. and if I do, I don’t feel like it’s from my heart. I know that God does love me. And I know that I’m going through a “dry spell”, as some people call it. But I’m in pain. God is so far away.

Please pray that my heart will overflow with faith in God so that I may share it with others.

Thank you so much. God bless.

-Jeanne

Dear God,
Code:
Please bless Jeanne and give her the grace to endure this tough time that you have allowed her to go through. I ask this in the name of Your only Son, Jesus Christ, and the intercession of His mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of all your holy saints.
Amen

Praying very hard for you Jeanne that you gain an abundance of faith.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Hang in there. All the holy saints that I know of, experienced the same as what you are going through. Continue to pray. God does hear you. God is with you. Our Lord promised to never leave you or forsake you. He is with you even to the end of the age. You are fighting for your friends, and their master, the devil doesn’t like it. If he didn’t feel threatened by your prayers (for the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God) he would leave you alone. The Lord allows us to go through these periods so that we may experience what He has also experienced. Be encouraged, sister. The Lord is with you and loves you dearly.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God
cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who wander
through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Dear jeanne God is with us always.Pray these prayers to the Holy Spirit for renewal of faith.
May God bless you

Prayer for Enlightenment
O Holy Spirit, divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to Thee my understanding, my heart and my will, my whole being for time and for eternity. May my understanding be always obedient to Thy heavenly inspirations and the teachings of the holy Catholic Church, of which Thou art the infallible Guide; may my heart be ever inflamed with love of God and of my neighbor; may my will be ever conformed to the divine will, and may my whole life be a faithful following of the life and virtues of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Thee be honor and glory for ever. Amen.

Prayer for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, divine Consoler, I adore You as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore You and unite myself to the adoration You receive from the angels and saints.
I give You my heart and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace which You never cease to bestow on me.
O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with such immense favors, I beg You to visit me with Your grace and Your love and to grant me the gift of holy fear, so that it may act on me as a check to prevent me from falling back into my past sins, for which I beg pardon.
Grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You for the future with increased fervor, follow with more promptness Your holy inspirations, and observe your divine precepts with greater fidelity.
Grant me the gift of knowledge, so that I may know the things of God and, enlightened by Your holy teaching, may walk, without deviation, in the path of eternal salvation.
Grant me the gift of fortitude, so that I may overcome courageously all the assaults of the devil, and all the dangers of this world which threaten the salvation of my soul.
Grant me the gift of counsel, so that I may choose what is more conducive to my spiritual advancement and may discover the wiles and snares of the tempter.
Grant me the gift of understanding, so that I may apprehend the divine mysteries and by contemplation of heavenly things detach my thoughts and affections from the vain things of this miserable world.
Grant me the gift of wisdom, so that I may rightly direct all my actions, referring them to God as my last end; so that, having loved Him and served Him in this life, I may have the happiness of possessing Him eternally in the next.
Amen.

Prayer for the Help of the Holy Spirit
O God, send forth your Holy Spirit into jeanne’s heart that she may perceive, into her mind that she may remember, and into her soul that she may meditate. Inspire her to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. Teach, guide and direct her thoughts and senses from beginning to end. May your grace ever help and correct her, and may she be strengthened now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of your infinite mercy. Amen.

Praying for you, dear (((Jeanne)))~

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds, hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malignant enemy, defend me
In the hour of my death, call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That with Thy saints and angels
I may praise Thee
Forever and ever
Amen.

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Saint Michael, glorious Prince, chief and champion of the heavenly hosts, guardian of the souls of men, conqueror of the rebellious angels, steward of the palace of God, under our Divine King Jesus Christ, our worthy leader, endowed with superhuman excellence and virtue, vouchsafe to free us from all evil, who, with full confidence, have recourse to thee, and by thy incomparable protection, enable us to make progress every day in the faithful service of our God.
Pray for us, most blessed Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy of His promises. Amen.

God, You know that I deeply regret my sins and failures. You know that I am often saddened by my mistakes and inability to achieve much that might please You or bless others. Yet You know my resurgent desire to live Your commandments of love for God, for others and for myself as You love me. I know that You pardon my sins and heal the damage they cause.

I ask that You will love and delight Yourself in me who seems intrinsically unimportant, one of countless billions of average persons throughout time.

I ask that in Your merciful love, You will give me true faith in You and true knowledge of You; You make me a living tabernacle, an overflowing chalice of Your love, a powerhouse of prayer, and an open doorway to God for others.

I trust in You…for “God is asking me, the unworthy, to forget my unworthiness and that of my brothers, and to dare to advance in the love which has redeemed and renewed us all in God’s likeness…to laugh, after all, at the preposterous idea of ‘worthiness’” Conjectures of a Guilty Bystander, Thomas Merton.

I trust these things tof Your great LOVE in whom “everything is possible”.

Jesus says: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29
:hug1:
Jesus assure and convince our friend that she doesn’t have to convert this person by sheer will and avalanche of prayer.
Help her simply to trust in God and say the St Michael prayer each day for the person.
Better to trust in you than a thousand prayers.
You will do what is necessary,
and what the person allows,
in the possible time, however long that takes.

"For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night." Psalm 90:4]
Therefore, “be patient…until the Lord’s coming. Think of a farmer, how patiently he waits for the precious fruit of the ground until it has the autumn rains and the spring rains". [James 5:7]

Have some rest and leave God’s work to God. :flowers::coffee:🍕

Jeanne, sometimes the faith can feel dry like that at different times in our lives. Keep perserving and receiving Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Marriage can be like that too. I am praying for you …

Jeanne,
Let me start of by saying that you are in my prayers. Far to often we try to equate our faith to a feeling. Thought feeling our faith is wonderful it is not necessary to “feel good” all the time. Often things in this world, including friends and family, do things we wish they wouldn’t have gotten into. Your friend needs your continued prayer. BUT, be ware. There is a dark force that tries to lure all to it away from God. That dark force is not of God and thus we know what it is. I would considering praying a novena for your friend, something powerful. I would also seriously consider praying for intercessory prayer from some of the great Saints that were attached by demons. St. Francis, St. Pio, and others But these just roll right up to the front of my mind. Divine Mercy is one of my favorite devotions. Of course never under value the power of the rosary.

Prayers like this I believe require prayer and fasting. Offer up your suffering for your friend’s conversion. Pray for God’s Divine Mercy to cover your friend. That 's the direction I would go in. Light a candle for your friend every night, if not perpetually. This is a practice my family started 3 years ago after our conversion and strange experiences I won’t go into. A candle brings light to darkness. Let God’s light shine through you by your prayers.

You should not worry so much for your friend but take care of your spiritual needs. Go to frequent confession for yourself. But before just going to a deep examination of conscience. Pick of the Divine Office and make it part of your routine. Most of all, let yourself off the hook of being the only source of salvation for your friend. God does give us free will.

Hope something in there helps. I’ll light a candle for you right now… and one for your friend as well.

PAX

Dear Sister ~

don’t burn yourself out spiritually here. trust the Lord. He knows and loves these people, and can and will guide them to Himself in Christ if He so wills it. keep praying, and keep trusting the Father to work in His own time on these people’s hearts and minds.

we don’t have anything at all to offer God, Jeanne. we can only accept what He has already given us, Himself on the cross, crucified for us. and in Christ and because of Christ, live for Him as renewed, sanctified creatures. all we can do is say “thank you”, really, accpet the gift, and follow Christ. live for Him who died for us, and who lives now, and forever.

don’t try to do it on your own strength, sister. you’ll crash and burn. take it slowly, pray simple short prayers, and allow God to bring you gently out of this dry, deep place. Christ thirsted on the cross, and wept in the Garden. sometimes it’s rough. prayers for you, sister, and for you to find comfort, renewal, grace, and peace in Christ, our Lord.
