I will try to make a long story short. I was baptized Catholic but never confirmed due to my parents’ “divorce.” Then around five years ago I decided to go to RCIA and become a full member of the Church. However, before my confirmation I was very sexually active and even active after, it’s just been a terrible sin for me, and I’ve never and am not married. Thankfully it’s been close to two years now since I’ve been with a woman in that way and I have become so much more aware of how women should be looked at as beautiful creatures of God and not items of instant gratification. Recently, however, I started dating one of my ex’s and we did not have sex we only kissed (one time much too heavily, after which, of course, I went to confession) but I put myself in the “danger zone” and, I broke up with her today. I explained to her that I respect her too much as a woman to put her in a potential situation in which I may use her in a sexual manner and that we are too different too be together. Anyway, I think I just got back with her because I was very lonely but now I feel like I’ve pulled the carpet from underneath her. She said that she understands and even that she is rooting for me, but even though I know it was the right thing to do, I still feel very lonely and sad that I may have hurt her.
