I don’t have much faith. I struggle with some of the teachings of the church, like contraception and homosexuality. I also used to practice Wicca, and I am tempted to go back to it. I feel like I am being pulled in two different directions, and I want peace. I know the Catholic church is right for me and my family, but I still struggle.

Please pray for me.

The pull of the occult is very strong and even though you don’t seem to want to give into it, your past involvement with Wicca has opened the door to the occult and given entities permission to enter into your life. I believe that people who get involved in the occult do so because they are more in tune with their spiritual nature, yet there is a danger in the occult that they are often unaware of until it is too late. Wicca, like other forms of the occult offers a form of power which is “counterfeit” and far removed from the “real” power which comes from God alone.

There is a very good book which I recommend out there titled “Demons in Disguise” by Steve Wohlberg, which paints a very clear, though stark picture of the occult and what is really taking place “on the other side”. It is not just good reading, but this book explains the dangers and harsh realities of communicating or involvement with the other world. Wicca exerts a strong hold over its’ followers, yet hopefully the love you have for your family will help you through this.

When you feel oppressed by this opposing force in your life, immediately call upon Jesus or the Holy Spirit to intercede (stand in) for you. The prayer “Jesus, help me” has saved many a soul in peril. Keep praying to God to break you from the hold of the occult and don’t stop until your prayers are answered, for the spiritual lives of you and your family are at stake here.

Thank you. I still feel the pull, but I am trying to make things easier for myself. I have gotten rid of all my wiccan books and supplies. It is so glamorous and exciting. I have always been drawn to the dark. I need to be strong, but it is hard.
 
I pray that the Lord grants you strength and fortitude to resist the temptation of the occult. May He keep you on the path of truth, faith, kindness, and true love. I pray that you continue on your journey into the Catholic faith. And may you truly finally turn your back on the occult practices that you practiced in the past.
 
Mother Mary, I commend AshJade to you. Please intercede for her and help her to carry her cross courageously, patienly and lovingly. May she find strength, healing, courage, the deepest faith and surrender to God’s holy will by deepening her devotion to you and by the faithful recitation of the Holy Rosary. May she conquer all her temptations by means of the Holy Rosary and self-mortification. I pray that she trusts in your powerful maternal mediation and consecrates her entire self to you. Please guide her and protect her from all harm. Lead her ever so close to your Son and help her to persevere in faith and in every good work. Amen.
