Please pray for me

I hope this request doesn’t cause any problems for anyone, but I need prayers concerning my eating. I know why I eat like I do, but even years of counseling and prayer on my own haven’t changed my behavior - or my weight. I am at the end of my rope! The only thing I haven’t tried yet is asking others for their prayers - asking you for your prayers - which is what I am doing now. It’s as if this is the last stronghold the enemy has in my life and he’s winning the battle. I need the help of some prayer warriors to win this fight.

While I don’t believe this is a moral issue, unless you are overeating to the detriment of your family’s welfare (especially if you’re tight on money, and assuming your issue is overeating), I will certainly pray for you with compassion as well as personal sympathy as I myself have struggled with weight issues my entire life. I ask that you may be strengthened, to grow in all faith, hope and charity, and find the healing you need to fix your problems with weight. I also ask for the forgiveness of all your sins, and for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your guardian angel, and St. Peter, for your sake and for the sake of all those dealing with weight issues. God bless. 🙂

**I am praying for you because I can relate to everything you are saying. Food for me is a close friend…many times too close. I love the taste of food - though I have tried to scale back on my consumption it is a constant struggle.

Again - food problems are not easy because we need to eat. Promise prayers as we battle this issue.**

Do you eat when you feel bad? Many people crave sugar and carbs when they are upset because carbs quickly release seratonin in your body which makes you feel better. If you do this, try to do other things to release seratonin in your body when your sad, like exercise, or watch a funny show and laugh! 😃

Mother Mary, I commend ShoJ to you. May he/she conquer this problem with your assistance. I pray that he/she prays his/her Rosary faithfully for this intention and receives your powerful help. May his/her devotion to you and to the Rosary liberate him/her from this eating disorder. Amen.
