Struggling with trying to give up some sinful habits and discerning what to do with my life. Need prayers…
 
Prayers said for strength to give up sinful desires and may God remove the desire to indulge in sinful activities. Also prayers for discernment.

I will remember your intentions in my prayers today.

Also, praying the rosary can help to overcome sinful habits/addictions. It is the Blessed Mother’s favorite prayer and faithfully praying the rosary has helped to create many saints throughout the ages.

Prayer for the Help of the Holy Spirit

O God, send forth your Holy Spirit into our hearts that we may perceive, into our minds, that we may remember, and into our souls that we may meditate. Inspire us to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. Teach, guide and direct our thoughts and senses from beginning to end. May your grace ever help and correct us, and may we be strengthened now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of your infinite mercy. Amen.

I am sorry to hear about the death of your husband. May he rest in peace. Prayers for your discernment as well and may the God of all comfort and hope be with you during this process.
