Please Pray for Me

Hello fellow Catholics, and other assorted Christians,

I would like to ask that you pray for me. I am struggling in my life with several things. I am struggling with finding a meaningful career that helps me focus on others and not just material gain for myself. I am struggling with sins of lust and impurity. I am struggling with the journey deeper into my faith. I have recently retaken an interest in the Catholic Faith, and know that it is the truth and what I want to follow but I have been struggling over the past year and a half to fully commit. To give a little background I began taking an interest in my faith so that I could defend it from attacks I was receiving (I was born Catholic and raised Catholic but our faith wasn’t the most important thing in my family growing up and after grade school I moved to public schooling and we stopped attending mass except for Christmas and Easter, so basically because of the poor understanding of my faith I had to relearn much of it). That made me take an interest in it once more and has helped me move closer to full communion, but I am still struggling with some habitual sins that I picked up in high school and college and I am struggling with fulfilling all my obligations.

I ask that you pray for journey in my faith to grow stronger and that the Lord fills my heart with a desire to fully commit to him. I ask that you pray that I can abandon my habitual sin, and stand strong in the face of temptation. I ask that you pray for my assistance in discerning a career or vocation that brings glory to God and not myself.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon LoganBice in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this

Blessed St. Anthony, who in life was ever mindful of the needs of the afflicted, consuming himself in the service of God and for the good of souls, who was the enemy of idleness and a tireless worker in the vineyard of the Lord, beseech God to grant LoganBice a suitable job, which may procure for him and his family a decent livelihood, and be at the same time a means of personal sanctification and of real service to others. We ask this through Jesus Christ Our Lord, amen.

A Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You.
Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me.
Tell me what I should do; give me Your orders.
I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me
and to accept all that You permit to happen to me.
Let me only know Your Will. Amen.
