I am writing this because I’m worried sick inside. I am bipolar, I have COPD, and terrible sciatica. I applied for disability a year and a half ago and I have a lawyer. I pray to God every single day and I pray for others constantly. But I’m such a pessimist I feel I’m going to be denied by Social Security. I have a hearing coming up very soon and am so nervous. I try hard to keep the faith but always fall short. I know in my heart I can never work again. I’ve had 64 jobs in my life and each one always ends in disaster. I just can’t do it anymore. Please please keep me in your prayers. Thank you, Steve
 
Loving Father please bless Steve with peace, and with the ability to find and develop a peaceful place in his heart and mind, in Your presence, especially in times of stress.
Father please help him to attain the temporal and spiritual support he needs.
Father, we ask this in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal stevekotwicki. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into stevekotwicki’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular stevekotwicki, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Prayer for the Sick

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for Steve and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may he find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy on him as you close wounds, cure illness, make his broken body whole and uplift his downcast spirits. May he find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.
