Please pray for me, I had fallen away from the faith for a long time and got caught up in interest in the paranormal and spiritism (a huge danger !!!), I’ve renounced my sinful ways and have returned to the faith and struggle every day to grow stronger in it but things I made contact with from when I was lost, things that terribly deceived me are still following me and their attacks are growing worse…sometimes I feel helpless on my own, please prey that I will soon be delivered from this nightmare which seems to have no end…Thank You.
This is a tough situation, and sometimes it is not easily unwound. I will pray for you, but I have a few comments as well to make…
I used to be anti-neighbor and anti-God. I chalked up my natural talents to mean I was divine. Over time, I grew this barrier between me and God so thick that I could hardly talk to my fellow neighbor. BUT, wonder of all wonders, in prayer, I once breached this wall, and breached it so effectively that I committed perfect contrition for my lunacy and in that instant of light, gave what little I didn’t muck up within myself to God (my heart). The one thing that either God preserved within me, or that I didn’t strain, was my heart.
So know that there may be tough trials ahead, but bear in mind, God will preserve even the worst of people if they’ve invested one of their faculties in Jesus’ passion, namely, the hands, feet, heart, head (crown of thorns)… forgive me if I am lacking in other means of Jesus’ passion.
Better still, pray the Rosary. And what I mean is this: when I first learned the prayers to say for morning and evening, and the Rosary, it took me a long time to pray a full five decades a night. I had to start with only one decade, but after some weeks, I had endurance to pray more, until all five a night. It is simple, but not always easy… Our Lady will take you into her care and show you many things she houses in her immaculate heart, be it knowledge of Jesus or self-knowledge.
That is all I will say, and I wish you the best of luck. Persevere with God.
