I have been divorced for 3 years and have been living celibate. Now all of a sudden I feel open to explore dating or wanting something more in my life. Since this has happened I feel distant from God.

I also have been wondering if my best friend (who is a guy) and me should start something together. We have been best friends for 17 years and I love no one like him or have known anyone as deeply. But I also dont want to screw up the friendship we have. He is highly intelligent, I think his IQ is genius level but he is very inexperienced in romantic relationships as in he has only had one and it ended badly. So he seems afraid to change the status quo. He seems happy the way things are but said he is open to cuddling if it would make me happy. But I feel he is just doing that so that I will be happy not because its something he needs. AGHH! Hes so hard to figure out.

I’ve even been questioning my sexuality maybe thats why I feel distant from God. But of course I have done nothing but explore, no dating or anything. Pray that God helps me now that I am feeling these new feelings again to be romantic. It kinda came out of the blue. I wish I could just marry God, but if He wanted that than maybe I would not be having these feelings. I used to wonder if I should be a nun because I always wanted to marry God, its a long story 🙂 But like i said if I am feeling this way it must be for a reason. Please pray for me, thank you and God bless!

The best thing for you to would be to start the annulment process, go to confession regularly, receive the Eucharist regularly, and to pray every day; this app makes it easy. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.techadmin.SSapp&hl=en

Hail holy queen: our life our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us.
And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit
of thy womb Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, oh holy mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.

As a never-married single woman, I’m praying that
you will live true to your name
“Elohim rules.”

And that you will discern well concerning annulment.

Praying for you from today’s Bible verses
from the Liturgy of the Hours (Universalis):

Mid-morning reading (Terce) Leviticus 20:26 ©
Be consecrated to me, because I, the Lord, am holy, and I will set you apart from all these peoples so that you may be mine.

Noon reading (Sext) Wisdom 15:1,3 ©
You, our God, are kind, loyal and slow to anger, and you govern all things with mercy. To acknowledge you is indeed the perfect virtue, to know your power is the root of immortality.

Afternoon reading (None) Baruch 4:21-22 ©
Take courage, my children, call on God: he will deliver you from tyranny, from the hands of your enemies; for I look to the Eternal for your rescue, and joy has come to me from the Holy One at the mercy soon to reach you from your saviour, the Eternal.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Dear God, give me courage,
for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats
and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,
mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,
against terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights,
against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever in heaven.

Amen.

I’m praying for you. May the Lord give you guidance about your relationship with your friend and may He give you answers about your sexuality.

For the sake of Jesus’ sorrowful passion, have mercy on elohimrules, and on the whole world. Amen. :signofcross:
