Please pray for me

I am a single parent of a 13 year old having problems in school. I took him into Huntington Learning Center who figured out where he is having problems and as a result they came up with an awesome program for him. He needs it. It will cost me $9000. I don’t, for the most part, get any real help from his father and I don’t come from a family that has money. On top of that I am behind on all my bills because I was laid off for 4 months this past summer. All I can think to do is pray. I don’t know what else to do. Thanks for listening and helping! ~Sarah

Hi My prayers are with you.

Please remember the learning center you mentioned has a finanical intrest in your son and his testing but the test results are yours. You can take them to your school if you are in a public school and talk to the rsp teacher and get a home program going for you son. .That is alot of money and I bet that is not all you will have to pay.my daughter has a learning disability and the best help she got was from the public school.I had to take her out of Catholic school,and Yes I had her in tutoring and speeh and all of that but again the best help she got was from the public school.If you have a good school district it is easier to get them in to program, and I don’t know what you have tried for help But I would not pay 9000 dollars for any progam out side of school. they cannot modify the childs school progam can’t give longer time on test and so forth that an RSP program can and do mandate to the teacher. These program do not have the ear of the teacher in his school and that is the part you need.

I don’t know how much of this you know or what you have gone through but look around there might be a local person who tutors that can give the same help for a few dollors. God be with you and your son. things will get better trust me I know I have been there done that.All my love in Christ Julie
