Today Mom turned 80, and instead of going out to eat with her friend Charles and Helen, she went to meet them at the hospital early morning. He, while waiting to have a pacemaker implanted within the next month, had another heart attack. Thankfully he has been placed this evening into ICU to be more closely monitored until this small city hospital is able to open a spot to get a pacemaker installed (the right word?).

Please pray for his spiritual condition, and for the Lord to keep his heart going until the pacemaker is installed, and for successful installment. Thank you for your gracious prayers, and thanks be to God who is faithful, has a purpose for us, and desires to use us to pray to help fulfill His purposes! I love Him so much.

God bless you all,
Pilgrim Elaine

Praying…

Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesus.
Sancta Maria mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen

Father, we come to You and
ask for your special graces to
be poured out on Charles.
Enter his heart Lord! Send your
angel from heaven to give him
strength, peace, and hope as
he goes through this ordeal.
We ask this in the name of
Christ our Lord.
AMEN

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to Mass and I will remember your petitions for your Mom’s friend, Charles, in my daily prayers.

REPLY: Thank you for prayers.

Charles had to wait in this smaller city hospital until Monday. Thankfully they put him in ICU to keep a close watch on his heart and were able to get the pacemaker in on Monday! They had problems, but it worked out, all glory to God and thank you for your prayers.

It was very serious and almost was too late. But it was not his time yet! The next one, they said, he would not have survived. And thank you friend, the_phoenix, for your prayers, too.

He does, however, need to stay in the hospital as he fell and is unable to stand. He didn’t break anything, but one arm is secured because of the heart and is in no condition to go home.

Mom had her 80th birthday celebration the following day which went very well. My uncle’s knee surgery on Monday also went well, although his pain was too much to sleep the next night (his name is Charles also – who came to the restaurant for Mom’s birthday celebration the day after her birthday – and after the heart attack. I’m so thankful he made it and for Mom’s sake – as Dad died 2 years ago. She is so faithful to the Lord and loves Him so with all her heart, and does much for others!

Thank you again, all those faithful in prayer. God bless you richly in Christ Jesus.
