Please pray for my anxiety and depression

I also have been having suicidal thoughts. I also feel I am slowly departing from the Catholic church. I have been performing sinful acts lately such as masturbation, and I am starting to feel I don’t want anything to with the Catholic church now, probably not a good thing to say during Lent. (I’m in a devout Catholic family. ) I am also very estranged from the world and my family. What I feel I need now is a miracle because I only see sadness in my future.

give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,

Troubled soul,

Let me offer first my prayers that God may heal you from the horrible suffering you are going through.

Please know that God wants you to get better, and there are treatments for anxiety and depression. God gave professionals certain healing gifts, and heals through people. Please seek help especially if you are having suicidal thoughts, sounds like a worsening in the depression. Go to the emergency room if you need to/aren’t in treatment. You deserve to get well, don’t be embarressed.

Also something I learned from my own struggle with depression is that part of the illness is feeling abandoned/distanced from people, and yes, from God, so your thoughts about the Church may be coming from the depression.

I will be praying for you - Please , please, seek help. There is hope, there is relief, the way you feel is not a permanent condition. Miracles are possible, but sometimes they don’t happen instantaneously, God uses people.

I have been seeing a psychologist, and I am on medication. I have also talked with a priest, my personal confessor. I think it’s up to me now. I need a major change on my part. I think I need a divine intervention, something close to what happens to some saints.

If you are going to give advice, I read no advice-giving is allowed in this forum, so maybe just PM me or I can start another thread in a different place.

You are NOT alone in your problems and difficulties. Look upon the cross and contemplate all that Jesus went through for each one of our sins. Offer up your life to him each day. He does know exactly what we all go through in our struggles. I will pray a Rosary for you on my evening walk tonight.

Lord, troubled_soul is falling, and is in need of your loving embrace. As he asks for a miracle, in the darkness he cannot see. Shine forth your light upon him Lord, that he may see the miracle of life you granted him, the miracle of love that surrounds him, and the miracle of your grace and mercy that is poured forth on him in your divine love.
Walk with him a way Lord, that he may feel you ever near, and find peace in his heart as you, our glorious shepherd, lead him back with your tender love. Grant him strength in faith, that he may face the darkness always, knowing that you are never far, and that in his faith, your light will shine eternally for him, like a beacon to guide him on his path.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are going through a tough time. Try to see this time you are going through now as a blessing to pray more and to get closer and have a better understanding of god.

Try to find gods blessings in small things during the day there are many of them you just have to look and listen and not be so down on yourself.

Everyone falls, it would be a sine if you don’t stand up again after your falls.
