Please pardon the strong words, but I’m being persecuted at work. The administrator even went so far as to take a picture of me signing my official letter of reprimand today and laughed. The last time she wrote me up, I hadn’t even done anything: it appeared as if I wouldn’t meet a deadline. I did meet it, BTW. I highly suspect that I will be non-renewed at the end of the year, which is a career-ender in my profession and won’t allow me to ever work in the field again. I’m not in a position to change careers (I already did that once) and probably wouldn’t start at a pay scale that will allow me to live close to my son, who lives with his mother, even if I did manage to change careers. My Multiple Sclerosis is progressing, and I don’t know what jobs I’d even be able to do before I’m confined to a wheelchair or how much longer I have. The only option would be to move across the country and never see my son, which wouldn’t bother my ex-wife much. I’ve been praying hard since the first trouble broke in November. I’ve been trying to offer it all up as redemptive suffering, trying to share in Christ’s suffering, and it keeps getting worse. I get that the point of redemptive suffering is not to help yourself, but I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I have prayed to die (see my previous prayer intentions) and receive Reconciliation as much as possible if God answers my prayers.
