Please pray for my cat

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Simca. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Simca’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
 
Smoke had a bad night last night, so she’s back at the vet and they’re keeping her and starting her on a drip. :gopray:
 
Smoke is still at the vet. She’s been diagnosed with kidney disease. The vet won’t know more until 48 hours – to see how she responds to the treatment.
Please keep praying for her.

Bless your heart. It does hurt when we lose a loved one, whether that loss is for a human or one with fur. Sometimes the sadness can just seem unsurmountable.

Smoke is in heaven now. Imagine the wonderful things he has seen.
He has no pain.
He has no problems.
He has no sufferings.

As much as you miss him, I think you love him enough to know that the place he is in is extraordinary. Your sadness will ease with time, I promise.

When you get sad because you miss him, try to picture him in heaven. Running through the grass, stretching out in the sun taking a nap, playing with the others who are in heaven.

As much as you may miss him, I pray that you are comforted in knowing Smoke is surrounded by love, is safe, and no longer has the afflictions that he had while on earth.

I know my Kitty Smoke is waiting for me in Heaven, where she is very, very happy and is not sick anymore. I want her to be with me forever.

We have a new “Shadow Cat” and are growing to love her too.

It was very nice of you to read through my tears. Don’t mind me if I keep writing, especially since her birthday is coming up. I’ve read that when the one you love passes away, it takes 1-2 years to “get over it”. Even though she was “just” my cat, her death has hit me harder than any I’ve experienced before–even close relatives.

I’ve always found such incredible kindness within animals. They seem to skip right over all of the failings Man has. They don’t care what you wear, they don’t care about your job, they don’t care what kind of car you drive, they don’t care if you have a social media account or how many “likes” you have, they don’t take ‘selfies’, you are not too fat or too thin for them, they don’t care what gadgets you have or don’t have, and they don’t attack you because of your thoughts on politics or any other topic.

Yea, they are pretty cool. And its really cool that at the end of the day an animal buddy just really doesn’t give a hoot about so much of the other stuff and just wants to say hi and I love you. Pure kindness.

I am always amazed at the beauty of animals. I look at a humming bird (they are passing through my neighborhood now) and I’m 1,000% dumbfounded. This tiny little guy, no bigger than my thumb, will fly thousands of miles when he migrates. What a design that is. I’m humbled at the shear genius of this design. And to top it off, the beauty that was added when it was created. Absolutely amazing. In the blink of an eye, He created something so very tiny yet so amazing in every way.

When I’ve lost my buddies, it breaks my heart because I’ll miss them. But the glory of my buddy running around in heaven just thrills me. I’m so very thankful that He let me have this sweet thing in my life. When I know my buddy is now back with his maker, enjoying so much more than I could ever have offered, it gives me peace.

And I’m thrilled you have another buddy in the family. Little Shadow already loves you, let down your guard and accept the little snuggles from this one.
 
I especially missed you yesterday my Smokey Girl,
As I celebrated my birthday, your sister Flame’s birthday, and of course, your birthday.
I always loved that we three “girls” always had the same birthday. Flame really missed you.
I made a salmon fillet for Flame and Shadow.
I had planned to make one for you, too.
Shadow didn’t eat it. Neither did Flame. It made me laugh, thinking that you probably wouldn’t have eaten yours, either.

I love you Smoke. I hope you had a good tenth birthday in heaven.
 
You’ve been gone since a year ago today, my Smoke.

I love and miss you more than ever.
