Good Evening everyone 🙂

I am fully engaged and looking to continue my journey towards becoming a member of the Catholic church. I attend Mass weekly and will be staring RCIA in the fall.

I just wanted to say hi, and that I would appreciate prayers and positive thoughts from those in the community here 🙂

thanks!

Andy

Andy I thank God for the graces of faith and perseverance that He has given you,
and that you are generously accepting these blessings of His love and truth.

Heavenly Father please continuing to flood Your blessings upon Andy, and upon all aspects of his life, in times of fervour, and also in difficult periods of his life.
Bless Andy with deepening wisdom and love, and fulfill Your loving purpose in his life.
Bless him, and bless others through him.
I ask this in the name of Your beloved Son Jesus.

Welcome Andy, a Sweet Child of God.
Know you are held in the palm of His hand.
He will never leave you or forsake you, He will not leave you orphaned.
Jeremiah 29:11 I have a plan for you. It is a plan for good and not for evil. It has a purpose and a future. Read Ephesians 3: 13-21 It is Paul’s prayer for us. Read the sentences of the prayer in case I am wrong on the 13-21.

Walk in joy

in Christ’s love

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen. †

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen. †

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness and snares
of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other
evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen. †

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Collect for the Feast Day of Saints Marcellinus and Peter

O God, who surround us with protection
through the glorious confession
of the Martyrs Saints Marcellinus and Peter,
grant that we may profit by imitating them
and be upheld by their prayer.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. +Amen.

Great note. For me to return to the church, I had to first of all come around to viewing man in Aristotelian terms, rather than Kantian terms. We are more than just individual atoms; our society has value to us, for us, and helps form our understanding of what we are, what we can do, what we should do. People are more than equal bearers of rights; they have social duties and duties to others; they also are born, grow, develop, age, die and their ability to wield their legal rights relies heavily upon their ability to reason and to have and use sufficient resources and cash—our lives are a continuum.

At any rate, that’s the first thing for me, and I’ve found the Catholic Church has this kind of understanding—albeit with the higher and transcendent concern of Heaven and God’s Will! 🙂

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
