You should all know that God has blessed your prayers and made them effectual. Tom has responded to chemo very well and was even out shopping this weekend. Our family is so grateful to each and every one of you. Remember that when I forst posted this prayer request that he was not expected to live out the week! Our God is a wonderful God and provides us with great mercy. Though we all are passing through this world and sometimes when we reflect on the fragility of life and its brevity, for life flowers and fades before us. I realize the most important prayer is the prayer for souls that they would know the love of the Savior and that His love would burn in their hearts for all eternity. May God bless each one of you for the love God has put in your hearts for others.
Father God thank You for all You have done for Tom and in making these lovely prayers effectual. Father I thank You for sending Your Son and for the love He had for us in going to the cross and dying for our sins that we might live through Him and in Him. Father I pray that Tom hope and trust in You would grow in the light of the strength You have provided him in this struggle. I thank You also Lord for his family and the joy you have given him even though all appeared bleak and he could not even attend his daughter’s wedding when we last saw him. Lord You are so merciful and kind thank You Lord. We never tire of praising You for it is not this gift of fleeting life we have that we praise You but for the joy of knowing You eternally in the promise of the hope You have given us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
