Please pray for my Dad.

Please could you pray for my father. We have just had a very sad family bereavement earlier this month. Today I had to go abroad for 5 weeks and so my Dad is now on his own. He has a lot of friends and neighbours who are really very good to him and he is able to cope. But I think it is going to be lonely for him. I would appreciate it very much if you could say a little prayer for him.

Our Father,

Bless Catherine during her trip and help her to rest easy knowing that her father is in Your care. Give her father peace and keep him healthy, safe and sound during these long 5 weeks.

Give comfort the Catherine while she travels, so that she may be free to focus on what your will for her is and may they each be able to, in all things, trust in You.

Dear Lord please surround Catherine’s father with Your love.This family have suffered and now the father is alone I ask You to comfort him and watch over him.Bless Catherine for caring for her father and please keep her safe on her trip.Amen
 
Dear Lord please bring your presence to this father as he is alone in his days and nights that he may feel you with him and gain strength from your presence.

Lord, look upon catherine’s dad with eyes of mercy,
may Your healing hand rest upon him,
may Your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of his body
and into the depths of his soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring him
to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom.

Amen.
 
Heavenly Father,
We know that you love us so very perfectly. Help Catherine with the Grace to entrust her father into your care. Give her peace in knowing that she is loved and not alone during this time and that, though she cannot be with her father, that You will, and his guardian angel, and our Blessed Mother.

Dearest Jesus,
You have already carried the sin and suffering of all of us and we know that you mercifully take on all suffering that we offer to You. Thank you for loving Catherine and her father so very much and help Catherine to recall that you are already there for both of them.

May they both know your peace during this very difficult time.
