Hi, good news first of all, my daughter Mica who is 13, got baptized this Easter after joining me in the local RCIA classes, unfortunately I have to wait, for reasons I shall not go into here.

Anyway I feel so blessed and proud that she feels strong enough to make this decision herself and taking such a big step, knowing the peer pressure from her friends and several people on her dad’s side of the family.

She has been getting some grief from her dad (even though he attended the service), her dad’s girlfriend has been having ago at her about getting baptized as well. As well as this there are some kids at her school who take the mickey out of her because of her Christian beliefs.

She is such a beautiful gift from God, and does not deserve to be treated this way, and it’s also starting to make her ask questions as to whether she’s made the right choice.

So I ask you dear friends to pray for her to stay strong and never give up and not to bow down to the pressures others are putting on her.

Thanks Mandy xx

Praying for you both so that there will be peace in this situation. Praying for strength to endure the peer pressure that she will be going through.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

**Come Holy Spirit, fill the heart of this child,
that she remain faithful and kindle in her
the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and she shall be created.
And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit she may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations.

Guard, defend, and protect her from peer pressure
and the pressure from her father and family.
Change the hearts of these people and let
them find themselves following her to you.

Through Christ Our Lord,

Amen. **

Praying for your intentions…

Dear God. You have a beautiful new member of Your Church. Her name is Mica and she is struggling now. She needs your guidance. Mandy is her mother and I am praying that you give Mandy the right words when Mica asks questions of her faith. Help Mica find other people in her church to join in activities that the Churches offer. Help Mandy become one of our sisters too. It took me a long time to go through the RCIA program as an adult (even though one of your Sisters told me I could not become a Catholic for another year). God, you lead me to the most wonderful Parish where it did not take a year and the fellowship and my extended family have been wonderful. I am Home. Please help Mica and her Mother find the same joy.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Father, as your beautiful child Mica steps forth into Your Church, may you Bless her abundantly with Heavenly Gifts. May she always look to you for answers in times of worry, fear, and doubt, and feel the warmth of Your love shining upon her. May she always feel your presence as you walk with her among those who chastise her, and her love for you. Lord, let your love shine so brightly within her, that others may be blessed simply by being near your beautiful child, and share in her love for you. Guide her and direct her Lord, in your infinite wisdom, that she may always walk with you, fulfilling only Your Divine Will, in all that she says and does.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our Daily Bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.
