Please pray for my DH and I

well, as many of you have followed over the past two years, my DH’s teaching job in his long-term district was cut a couple of years ago. DH went to a different district but found out his position there is done after this year.

We have been praying very hard. I have told DH for the past year that I just wish his original position in his long-term district would somehow come available. well, today it did! we cannot believe it. we are praying so hard.

would you all please join us in praying for this position for him? he is so excited and I cried tears of joy at lunchtime. this district was SO good to us. we have lots of friends there. several positions were cut the same year his was, and we understand it wasn’t a personal thing. we just PLEASE ASK for prayer today and in the coming weeks that this all works out and he is able to get his original job back!!! obviously lots of people will probably apply, but we’re asking God to somehow make it all work out. thanks!!

thanks to all…sent out the resume packet today! hopefully DH hears something in the next couple of weeks. He is being cautiously optimistic because he feels like maybe they don’t WANT him back. i can’t imagine why. he had an exemplary file there. the kids loved him, the teachers and administrators loved him. he was super involved with everything.

DH feels like maybe they will find a reason to not offer it to him. i know that because of everything he’s been through, he’s a bit cynical! so i’m praying like crazy. we appreciate all of you praying us through this one!
 
we would ask for continued prayers from you all. Dh sent out a few resumes this week, to jobs that he really is interested in, and specifically to his old one. I am praying SO hard that he gets invited back to that one. he did so well there.

we really considered that school our home and the people there our family. We even planned to send our kids to high school there. they go to catholic elementary, but no catholic high school nearby, so they would go with him…that’s one of few districts i would want them to go to!

please continue to pray. there are a couple weeks left until the ‘offifical’ deadline, so DH thinks we won’t hear back until then. thanks again!
 
thanks to all for prayers offered! we continue to ask, humbly, for your prayerful support. DH submitted his entire resume package and called to make sure they received it, which they did.

the deadline to apply isn’t for a few weeks yet. He doesn’t want to get invasive or overbearing with them, so when he called, he greeted the secretary who answered by name, made some brief small talk, confirmed they received it, and said goodbye.

i KNOW that this would be a good thing if he went back. when he was there, we truly considered that place ‘home’ and the people there were like family to us. just really good, honest, people. i hope and pray and ask God every day to let them give him a chance get called back. when they eliminated it was simply a numbers thing.

ok, well enough rambling for today…of course i’ll continue to update (even though the deadline is weeks off i’m sure i’ll ramble every day until then!)
