Please Pray for my dying Uncle

[Luz_Maria]

Thank you all for your prayers! What a joy to know the Holy Spirit is in us all. My Friends, it is Our Lords merciful will. He has called my Uncle Rudy, with hope, and taken him home.

Thank you all for your petition of prayers, it really meant a lot to me and my family

My condolences on the death of your Uncle Rudy. Praying for the repose of his soul and for your family – his family. . . . .

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into Hell Satan
and all the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

[PelagiathePenit]

Dear Lord, give him a peaceful death. Accept his soul into heaven. Forgive him of any offenses. Bring peace to his household. Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,**
Deliver me, Jesus.**
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,**
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.**
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…
Amen.

Road Ahead
“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road,
……though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost
……and in the shadow of death. I will not fear,
……for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me
……to face my perils alone.”

From all evil, O Lord, deliver him.
From the rigor of Thy justice, O Lord, deliver him.
From the power of the devil, O Lord, deliver him.
From long-enduring sorrow, O Lord, deliver him.
From cruel flames, O Lord, deliver him.
From horrible darkness, O Lord, deliver him.
From dreadful weeping and wailing, O Lord, deliver him.

Through Thy holy nativity, O Lord, deliver him.
Through Thy most sweet name, O Lord, deliver him.

In the Day of Judgment, we sinners beseech Thee, hear us.
Thou Who forgavest Magdalene, and didst grant the prayer of the thief,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to deliver the souls of our parents, relations, friends, and benefactors, from the pains of hell,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to have mercy on those of whom no special remembrance is made on earth,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to grant them all the pardon and remission of their sins, we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to receive them into the company of the blessed,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
King of awesome majesty,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
Son of God,
we beseech Thee, hear us.

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto him eternal rest.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto him eternal rest.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto him rest everlasting.

Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy.
From the gate of hell,
deliver his soul, O Lord.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray.
O God,
the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant unto the soul of Thy servant departed the remission of all their sins;
that, by pious supplications,
he may obtain the pardon which he has always desired.
Grant this, O God, Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. Amen.

O eternal God,
Who, besides the general precept of charity,
hast commanded a particular respect for parents, kindred, and benefactors;
grant, we beseech Thee, that, as he was the instruments by which Thy providence bestowed on us our birth, education and innumerable other blessings, so our prayers may be the means to obtain for him a speedy release from his excessive sufferings, and admittance to Thine infinite joys. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

Eternal rest give unto him, O Lord.
And let the perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

Prayer for the Deceased Person and for Mourners

Lord Jesus, our Redeemer,
You willingly gave Yourself up to death so that all people
……might be saved and pass from death into a new life.
Listen to our prayers;
……look with love on Your people who mourn and pray for their dead brother.
Lord Jesus, You alone are holy and compassionate;
……forgive our brother his sins.

By dying You opened the gates of life for those who believe in You;
do not let Your brother be parted from You,
but by Your glorious power give him light, joy, and peace
……in heaven where You live for ever and ever. Amen.
