Hello, everybody.
Code:
I haven't been here in a while. I'm sure there will be a few here who will love to shake their fingers at me and say, "I told you so," but I need prayers, so I will swallow my pride and ask for them.

I am four months pregnant with a child who is likely not my husband's baby. I am considering adoption not only for this reason but also because we are STILL getting along terribly. For two solid years we have, for the most part lived like roomates who barely like each other. I can count the times we've been "together" on less than ten fingers. No excuse for adultery, I know, but geez - human nature is hard to combat. My husband just recently lost his job. This loss of employment is the major impetus for my post here now. Another reason I want the adoption is, quite frankly, I'd rather work. I don't want to bring a newborn into our tenuous household, I've gotten quite used to working outside the home, and chances are we will need that income desperately. We are under a mountain of debt (also!), and my second income is likely to be needed to get us out once and for all.

I hope I'm not taking prayers away from those with illnesses. One thing I am thankful for is that at least I'm not too sick to work, but please, we need your prayers all the same. Pray for the sick people first, and then make your way back to us. :o Thank you in advance for your prayers and understanding.

Dear Tracy…a good Confession will help and perhaps give good advice too. May The Holy Spirit guide you at this time and bring you knowledge and love of God’s Will and His Strength re your unborn child. Keeping you in daily prayer…Blessings - Barb

:gopray: Father God Your mercy is so strong. Your forgiveness is but a confession away. We lift our friend up to You. You know her heart and You know the trouble that she is in. Through her humble heart she cries to You and we join in her cry, her cry for understanding and clarity with regards to her marital relationship. Direct her Lord, guide her. Please come to her and allow her to feel Your arms of forgiveness are around her.

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary, mother of God pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.

Praying for your situation, that our Lord will guide you through this difficult, trying time.

Hello, again.

I thank you so much for your prayers. My husband has an interview tomorrow, but he won't tell me where because he doesn't want to "jinx it." Maybe it was your prayers that got him that interview! Just so y'all know, I have gone to Confession, and ironically, this very situation will make it easier for me not to repeat the same sin. It's a pity that that's what it took. I hate to say "the devil makes me do it," but situations arise sometimes where it's easy to do the wrong thing. And I experience no temptation to do things that the devil knows I will not do under any circumstances (for example, steal something.) At any rate, I hope his interview goes well, and if it doesn't, I hope he gets another one just as fast.
Thanks again, y’all.

Thank you for the update, Tracy…keeping your situation in daily prayer…

Hey y’all.

No job yet. Still discussing adoption. He said today he wished he could win the lottery so we could pay off our debts and go our separate ways. And he wants to keep the baby - even if it's not his. Explain this to me, because I don't get it. I don't believe bringing a baby into a divorced household is the right thing to do, and legally, he has the power to make me do the wrong thing. All he has to do is refuse to sign any adoption papers. That's it. It's really not fair. I got smart today and asked him, "If Emily and I were NOT in the picture, would you attempt to adopt a newborn baby all by yourself?" He said no. I hope that one question got him to think about the situation we face now. I hate to keep writing in the prayer thread, but I figure y'all might want to know what's going on.
Thanks for your continued prayers.

Lord, come to this family, in your divine mercy, and offer them guidance through their troubles. You alone in your infinite wisdom, can direct them to follow your Will for this unborn child. May they have complete and total faith in you Lord, and in their undying faith, may they find peace and forgiveness in their hearts, that they may restore their love for one another.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Hey, everybody.
Code:
In case you are interested, my husband found a job. Your prayers worked in that respect, so I thank you A LOT. He has also agreed to talk with our church's permanent deacon after Easter. More good news. Now for the not-so-good news: I still want the adoption for this child, who I just found out is a boy, and my husband does not, for whatever reason. He doesn't even have a good one. I have a lot of good reasons to make an adoption plan for this child. He wants the baby "just because." In the state of SC, both parents must agree to place the child for adoption or the baby stays with the biological parents. I am so frustrated! You do your best to do the right thing and sometimes you just get "blocked." It's not fair. The baby is due in early August, so a decision needs to be made fairly soon. Thank you for your continued attention and your prayers.

Almighty God, envelop Tracy and her family in Your Mercy. Lead them to peace. Bless the new life that is about to come into the world. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
