Please pray for my family

You don’t need to even post here…

but I am asking your prayers for my family because we’re falling apart…

I’m the only Catholic in the family, so…

My mom’s health is deteriorating, and I think she is depressed, but she would never admit as much…

My dad is the same difficult man he’s always been, and it seems he has a soft spot for porn now…

You can’t talk sense to him or criticize his behavior or else he goes off the frickin’ chain…

Not to mention that he’s gone about as far away from the Gospel as anybody in terms of preferring “prosperity gospels” and new age liberalism to the true Christ…

They’re going away to the beach for Easter and don’t even plan to attend church…

I don’t know what to do…and I don’t know if there’s anything I can do but pray. I’m seriously concerned about their souls.

Please pray for them that they will be converted back to Christ. Like I said, you don’t even have to post here that you’re doing such.
 
Dear Epistemes, it’s painful to be ‘last Catholic standing’ in your family.
But your family has one bright hope, you, and your prayers and example.
God bless you for being faithful, when those whom you love, have drifted from faith!

Many afflicted souls have been saved by the penance and intercession of God’s children. We unite our penance with the Cross and ask the Father to have mercy on Epistemes’ family and Epistemes. Accept the sacrifice at every Eucharist celebrated on this day and all to bring unity to all souls within the Body and those scattered outside. Mary, pray with us. Amen. :harp:

Praying for you and your family. Dear Lord, may Epistemes continue strong as he/she is in his/her faith and be the light of Christ to those around him/her who themselves may have their own lights extinguished. May he/she always pray for them, as did St. Monica for her son, St. Augustine, before he had converted to the faith. Fr. John Corapi’s mother prayed for many, many years also for the conversion of her son, John, and he converted. Maybe your family will only have a deathbed conversion, but your prayers will allow them that. Sometimes our family members and friends only come to the Lord at the last hour, but because of our prayers it becomes possible that they be saved by God’s merciful grace on their deathbed. I pray you never give up praying for them. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
