Please pray for my father

I spoke to my mom the other day and she told me that my dad seems to be very depressed and has been drinking non-stop to ease his emotional pain.

I am also mentally ill (with schizoaffective disorder) and although my dad was never diagnosed, I believe that I got this illness from him.

Please include him in your prayers. I am very worried about him and my mom as well.

He had tried to oversode on pills in the past and I am praying he wouldn’t do this again.

I can almost feel your pain. I will definitely pray for your mom and dad and for you as well. What a load to carry! Seems a lot of us are carrying heavy crosses these days. Call on the Lord for help - I’m sure you already did. Praying…

Dear Lord, watch over mslizzie’s Father through his sadness. Bring comfort to him and his family, as they endure this pain with him. In your most divine love, bring light into his darkness Lord, that he may see you there and reach for your outstretched hand. May he find strength in you Lord, and comfort in your arms, and replacing his pain with your healing grace, may he always look to you Lord in faith and devotion when he is weak, and his burden too heavy.

Thank you everyone for the prayers. I spoke to my mom yesterday and she shared some positive news. My dad has not drunk for 2 days and he was doing ok yesterday. I told mom to still watch him closely.

Mom was glad that my dad was not drinking. Hope this will coninue.
