He has had a respiratory infection or illness or somesuchthing for a couple of weeks.
It pinnacled today, resulting in a hour of vomiting and pain before he finally told me to call for a rescue squad. They got him to the hospital, and he is intensive care at this moment. He had congestive heart failure - meaning his heart wasn’t pumping enough oxygen to meet his bodily needs. And his lungs were filling up with fluid.
The Doctors say that he will be critical for about 24 hours. He has a breathing tube, and he’s shivering every now and then. He’s not conscious; who knows? Maybe he’s having a chat with God in Heaven right now (you know, a near-death experience). In any case, I hope he recovers. :crying:
Since about 10 this morning I’ve been bawling my eyes out, but I finally have managed to calm down and find a computer in the hospital, and I beg the biggest of community of Catholics I know of to please, please pray for his health, and that he makes a full recovery.
In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
