God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal this Father. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. Despite what the doctors say if this be Your Will I ask you to send forth your healing power into this Father’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Thank you all for continuing to pray for my dear Dad. He is still in hospital - now 5 weeks and 5 days. He now has a second bout of pneumonia and a surgical collection that needs to be drained. It has been a long haul, for all our family and I pray that he is home before Christmas. It seems the longer he is in hospital, the more medical problems develop.
Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant
for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health,
he may give thanks to You in Your Church.
