Please pray for my Father

My dear friends

I have just found out that my dear Dad has just been diagnosed with cancer. Mum is devastated, and I am still in shock from the bad news. My Father has been my rock and supported me with lots of love over the years. He has been in ill health over the last couple of months. I do not know what his long term prognosis will be, he is elderly and has had a number of recent hospitalizations. I can not bear to think other that I hope and pray that he can bet this.

Please pray for my Dad who is a devout Catholic,

Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant
for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health,
he may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord.

I am truly sorry to hear about your father’s illness. I can completely understand your pain, my father has been the center of my life just as you described, so I am deeply sympathetic for what you are going through. I hope and pray that your father can be healed of his cancer, that he may live through it, and that he, you, and all your family may find strength, hope and forgiveness of your sins through the mercy of the suffering servant, Jesus Christ, who experienced all our pain and sorrow on the Cross. I ask for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your and your father’s guardian angels, St. Joseph (patron of fathers), and St. Peregrine Laziosi, patron against cancer. Holy Trinity praying for your Dad and family. It is very hard to see a parent be ill
 
Mother Mary, I commend HolyTrinity’s father to you. Please intercede for him and ask Our Lord to heal him in accordance with His holy will. Please ease his suffering and help him and his family to carry their crosses courageously. May they receive strength, peace, the deepest faith, surrender and holy abandonment from God through your matenal mediation. Amen.

Lord God, I lift up to Your loving mercy and compassion TheHolyTrinity’s father. Please touch him with Your mighty healing power and restore him to good health. Bless his doctors, nurses and caregiver with a portion of Your wisdom and knowledge so that when they reach out ot treat him, they do so as Your instruments of healing. Grant this beloved father strength and a steadfast faith in You. Surround him always with family, friends, loved ones and colleague who can be a source of comfort, support and strength for him. I ask ofr his healing, Lord God. Ease his pain and suffering. Grant him a speedy recovery. I also ask You to please ease the worry, pain, suffering and anxieties of his wife, offspring and all those who love him who are undoubtedly crushed by the diagnosis.
