Please pray for my former spiritual director and pastor, suffering badly from cancer

His name is Father Richard Bollea. One of the most compassionate and loving people I have met, he was my biggest inspiration and influence besides Jesus to enter the seminary.

He is suffering from cancer that has just spread to the bone marrow and pelvic area, swelling up his legs and leaving him hard to breathe. He goes for 2 blood transfusions this Thursday, and then need extensive and exhausting radiation therapy and a second round of chemo.

Things are not looking very good. Please, through the intercession of St. Peregrine and Jesus, pray for him!!!
 
A short prayer from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

You do not send us trials greater than we can bear:
strengthen the weak and raise the fallen.
– Lord, you are the hope of your people.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
