I say “friend”, but she’s so much more than a friend to me. If it weren’t for her, I would be a horrible person and I doubt my faith would be as strong as it is today. I’ve known her for eleven years, and she was one of the very few people I had to support me during an extremely hard time. She’s a good person–she’s doesn’t judge me for my faith when so many people I know hate me because I’m Catholic–and she always sees the good in people.
For the past few months, she’s been dating a guy who’s two years older than her. He does drugs, doesn’t respect her very much, they fight all the time, and he’s changing her. She used to be a good Christian girl, but he’s convinced her to start…doing things, and he’s just a bad influence.
Recently, I found out they’re engaged. They’re both really young, and I don’t think he’s right for her at all. I can only see their marriage ending in a violent, angry divorce. But my friend doesn’t see how much he’s hurting her. She’s blissful about this relationship, even though he makes her cry all the time. She’s constantly texting and calling me, telling me how upset she is, saying she “can’t lose him”.
Please, everyone who’s reading this, please pray for my friend. Please ask that she sees how much this relationship is hurting and changing her. I can’t watch my friend get hurt anymore. Sitting by while she continues to date this guy is…I can’t stand it anymore. Please pray for her. Thank you.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to her assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end
Amen.

Lord, please grant graces for much wisdom, faith, hope, love, and joy to this friend, that the eyes of her heart be illuminated toward the truth. See, with angelic help, that AnnaDango’s friend always follow the paths according to the will of the merciful Father. Shine your divine light through her, toward others, that she be able to make courageous decisions and glorify you in her every suffering or joy in life. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

O Lord, I do not know what to ask You.
You alone know my real needs,
and You love me more
than I even know how to love.
Enable me to discern my true needs
which are hidden from me.
I ask for neither cross nor consolation;
I wait in patience for You.
My heart is open to You.
For Your great mercy’s sake,
come to me and help me.
Put Your mark on me and heal me,
cast me down and raise me up.
Silently I adore Your holy will
and Your inscrutable ways.
I offer myself in sacrifice to You
and put all my trust in You.
I desire only to do Your will.
Teach me how to pray
and pray in me, Yourself.
Amen.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen
