Thank you for opening this thread.
I have a friend whom I met online gaming .Let’s name him Jon. He’s very depressive, self-obsessed and agoraphobic (hasn’t left his college dorm room in 2 months)
He’s talking about suicide and I’m fairly convinced he means business. I can’t talk him down from it and he’s unwilling and unable (too poor) to ask for help.
I’m at the end of the rope. I need your prayers. He needs them so bad.

Thank you for reading. God bless.

God bless you, Kuzco for your loving concern, and for asking prayers for your friend.
Thank You, loving God, for providing this trapped and desperate friend with someone who cares and prays.
Please guide Kuzco in the best way to encourage and guide this friend.
Please surround the friend with Your light and love, and flood Your healing upon him

Praying for “Jon” that he not lose hope and take his life.

Please have him check with services available at the college. Most college campuses have counseling available to students or can provide referrals. Also calling a suicide HOTLINE might help him as well. Emergency Rooms in my state cannot turn anyone away due to financial reasons and must evaluate everyone.

Prayers for you as well that you can somehow assist this friend of yours to find help

Mary.

Keeping your friend in my prayers…

COLLECT FOR ST JOHN THE BAPTIST

ALMIGHTY God, by whose providence thy servant John Baptist was wonderfully born, and sent to prepare the way of thy Son our Saviour, by preaching of repentance: Make us so to follow his doctrine and holy life, that we may truly repent according to his preaching; and after his example constantly speak the truth, boldly rebuke vice, and patiently suffer for the truth’s sake; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us!

WE WON!

I actually mustered the courage and called, from another continent, to his university’s security department. They dispatched a guard with a counselor who, after a few unsuccesful attempts, managed for him to open up and admit what was happening.
He was able to exit his room dorm (he hadn’t done it in two months), talk to counselors and teachers, and tomorrow he’s going to a clinic to get antidepressants.
He described having an “epiphany” and deciding to “man up” and take control of his mind.

I’ve no words to describe the happiness and gratitude! Thanks for all your prayers, we saved a boy today, with God’s unwavering love and help!

Praise God!! That is spectacular news. God is gracious. Thank you for doing what you did - that took concern and courage. You prayed and did what you could, and with the help of God you saved a life. Wonderful. I will continue to pray that this man draws closer to God and His love, and understands his purpose in life. Thank you for sharing this.

Most loving and forgiving God,
hear our prayers for all
who seek to end their life
by their own hand.
The despair is too great,
the loneliness is unbearable,
the inability to share
thoughts and feelings overwhelming,
the seeming lack of options a dead end.
Bless them with the strength of love
to meet each day with new courage;
friendships to bring moments of joy
in their days of anguish;
and hope for the future.
Amen.

Praying to St. Dymphna for “Jon’s” health & recovery. Praying for your intentions as well.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Jon. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Jon’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Jon in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

We fly to thy patronage,
O holy Mother of God;
despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Amen.
