Hi, I’m new here. I have an unusual request, but I am asking for prayers for the complete healing, restoration, and renewal of our marriage of 22 years. We have an annulment which I am appealing to the Roman Rota because I believe it was wrong and should not have been granted. Neither of us has moved on into other relationships, and circumstances have changed which will only strengthen our marriage bond (he is now Catholic). Any prayers for a softening of J.'s hard heart and the desire to reconcile, and/or appeal to Rome if necessary is greatly appreciated:)

Thank you, M.

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

Thank you all so much! I’ve felt the strength of the Holy Spirit for the past several months as I’ve prayed about this, and your prayers are so precious to me:) I’ve been discouraged by my local clergy and the tribunal who simply say ‘oh, just move on - it’s done, so go enjoy your life!’. I didn’t mention earlier that my feelings for my husband began to turn back to love and compassion about a year ago, as he was treating me the way he did in the beginning. He came out here to help our son get set up for college and was very kind to me. I prayed about it, and by the time both kids moved in with me last August, I was certain my feelings were sincere, and I shared this with him. Unfortunately my timing was off because just a couple of weeks after that, he went back to the midwest to an empty house with both kids gone - and he began searching online for someone else. That is why I prayed so much for those months leading up to August, to make sure my motives and feelings were authentic. Neither of our kids or I had any idea he was even considering dating again, and I was heartbroken when he emailed me saying he wanted to move on with his life at that point. But because I was so grounded in prayer all that time, I know this is the right thing to do and my motivation is good and pure and always has been. I believe God will always choose to restore a marriage even if just one of the spouses is willing to pray fervently for it. I recommend for anyone else who may be in my situation, please get a copy of any of the books ‘The Power of a Praying Wife’ or ‘Husband’, or ‘Person’, by Stormie Omartian. I believe my faithfulness will ultimately be rewarded and God will restore and heal our valid Catholic marriage and family. Thank you all again, and please know that I am praying for all of you as well:)

Praying for the healing and restoration of both of you individually, and of your marriage as well!

I also forgot to mention that he will be moving down here in June. He claims he has met someone down here who is supposedly annulled also, who he wants to ‘date exclusively’ (but realistically, she is like the 3rd woman he’s met online, and they’ve only gone hiking and to dinner once when he was here visiting our kids - my heart and logic both tell me it just isn’t real, and won’t last, especially since they both know that I am appealing to the Rota. To proceed with a relationship knowing I am appealing would ultimately be adultery - but that’s not why I’m appealing, and never has been). Anyway, isn’t it just like the enemy to cause more chaos and confusion when we are trying to do what we believe God is calling us to do, to stand firm in our Catholic faith? I’m praying spiritual warfare prayers as well, and each time I ask God to take away my feelings if this is not His Will, I only end up feeling stronger in them, knowing I am trying to live as a faithful Catholic in accordance with the Catechism.

I will include your intentions in my daily prayers and especially this evenings Mass.
Keep hopefull and wait for his will to be done:gopray:

New on here still. Is it possible to place my prayer intention on the ‘ongoing prayers needed’ thread? Received good news from my bishop and a good canon lawyer who may take my case:) But then had another argument with J. about this, and it sounds like his heart is still stone cold and hard:( Am really in need of a miracle here. Anyone know which saint would be a good one for this intention? Thank you all again for your prayers, I know they are working, and we just need to keep praying and somehow keep the faith. God bless you all, and I am praying for you as well! :blessyou:

Praying for you, your husband, and your marriage TrudeeT.

PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for

the conversion of my husband and the strong faith of my son, the conversion of all sinners in my family and of the spouses being prayed for here by CAF members,

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

I prayed to the Blessed Mother to heal and restore my marriage. The Memorare was especially powerful for me. Sometimes the pain was so great all I could do was repeat the prayer over and over to keep from going crazy. My prayers were answered. It was and is a miracle. It can happen.

I also started praying differently after reading The Power of A Praying Wife. I learned to pray better for him and me. It was very humbling to realize that I wasn’t the wife and mother I was supposed to be. The transformation began with me, I was filled with love for him and always, always kept praying. The Blessed Mother must have wept for me because her Son healed us.

Your husbands actions sound familiar…he may be secretly praying to be rescued from his own foolishness

The Blessed Mother gets my vote for the one to intercede for you.

May God Bless you and give you peace.

Yes, Trudee, by all means post into “Ongoing Prayers Needed”.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Monica and St. Rita, who is patron of desperate causes and was an exemplary wife, mother and religious, are some of my favourites for intercessions.

Blessings - Barb…will keep you and the situation and all involved in daily prayer…

Trudee be strong CAF family is having you at heart. We are still praying for you and your husband.:gopray:
