My wife and I have been seriously talking about divorce this month. I am pretty confident I’ll have an offer for a new, better job but it will require us to move and she is more or less refusing to even discuss it. I need wisdom and discernment to decide on the new job (should they offer it), and prayers for my marriage. We have 3 girls, 6 5 and 1 1/2, we’ve separated once before but did so without any counseling or help. I appreciate your prayers and intentions.

I will pray for reconciliaiton, N the meantime, if you are Catholic go see your priest immediately

What Clare said.

RKS89, please know that I also will be praying for your marriage,
for you, your wife,
and for your three little girls, that the tragedy of their parent’s divorce will be averted.

Holy Spirit please inspire and guide husband and wife with mutual consideration and genuine mutual love.

Prayer for a Troubled Marriage

O St. Rita,

Make us understand that the vocation to marriage is not
only a matter of attraction. Enable us to see clearly that
it is also a matter of finding, in ordinary events, God’s will
for us and then accepting it – even if it seems to be baffling
and contrary to our wishes.

Teach those whom the Lord calls to the marriage state
to reflect deeply on the choice that will influence their
destiny. Let them not be deceived by their feelings;
instead, let them look for the solid qualities that keep
a home united in the joy of the Lord.

Teach unhappy spouses the power of patience and
mildness. Let them not give way to discouragement but,
like you, let them save both the happiness of their home
and the soul of their spouses.

O St. Rita, I offer this Prayer for a Troubled Marriage
in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Prayer to St. Anthony for Employment

Blessed St. Anthony, who in life was ever mindful of the needs
of the afflicted, consuming yourself in the service of God and
for the good of souls, who was the enemy of idleness and
a tireless worker in the vineyard of the Lord, beseech God
to grant RKS89 a suitable job, which may procure for him
and his loved ones a decent livelihood, and be at the same
time a means of personal sanctification and of real service
to others. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen. ✝️

Blessings,
There are vows for better or worse. You don’t get stuck in worse. Ephesians 5 or 6, tells you to love your wife, as Christ loved the Church, even as He laid down His life for the church. The Bible tells the wife to respect her husband and in Genesis to desire her husband. Men need Sex and respect. Women need love and romance. Children need their parents not to be selfish to their needs(?). But have parents to work together as a unit. A family!
Why does she want to stay?? Does she have family or a secure job she loves? Is her career field easy to transfer and find? Is your present job good and stable? Would your new job be better and secure. Is the city a good City. What are her concerns?
Have you made your wife feel special. Have you hired help to get house clean Do you go out on dates?? Is she a stay at home Mom? She can be going stir crazy w kids all day. You come home from work and say and do???
If your marriage is fragile, is moving and counseling a good idea? Get counseling and then, move?
You are responsible for your wife’s happiness. You are to lay your life down for her…
Figure what she wants. Give it to her. She may be looking at someone else. A friend that has listened to her woes. Compassion for a neglected wife???
HMMMM A lot to consider.
NEVER SAY DIVORCE!! Say we have a problem and lets fix it.
Moving could be fun. Let her have Big say in house.
List her desires and yours. Fix it.
In Christ’s love

Let them both want their children to feel loved and SECURE. Marriage has ups and downs. You are w us in our journey. Thank You, God.

“You don’t get stuck in worse.” That alone is a powerful statmenet tweedlealice, and thank you for your kind and prudent words.

I am working on a time to meet with my priest, hopefully before the end of the week.

I can only imagine what you are going through, and what your family may go through if love and understanding doesn’t prevail.
Please, our God, hear the prayers RKS89 makes in his heart and mind and in the stress he is enduring.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, Implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen ✝️

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Praying for God’s grace in your marriage.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. I do (and always) believe they are helping.
