My brother told my mom today (our confirmation day) that as soon as he turns 18 next week he is going to leave the Church to “explore his options”.

So could you please pray first for my brother that he doesn’t stray too far. (Or not at all).

And esp. for my mom who is very upset about it.

Thank you

Prayers go out to your family through their difficult time.

God Bless all you do in the name of Jesus!

God bless and comfort your Mom and you. It is very distressing.
God please protect your brother and may He bring him to our Catholic faith soon.

[Jeremiah 31:16-17]
"Stop your crying and wipe away your tears. All that you have done for your children will not go unrewarded; they will return from the enemy’s land. There is hope for your future; your children will come back home. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

**Kim, I’m one of nine, and at one stage only two remained faithful to the Faith. Only one never strayed. So far only three haven’t returned. And though I now like to go to Mass every day, I wasn’t the one who remained faithful. Only one of us has died, and he returned to the church a month before he died in a car accident. God has strange ways, Kim. Would you believe that it was contact with proslytizing American Mormons that brought me back to the Church 30 years ago! They were shocked at the outcome. But God bless them! God will bring your brother back. Please God, soon.

Kimaz. I’m praying for your family. I’ve met many people in the same situation where the kids need to “find themselves and figure out exactly what they want” but the power of the church always seems to bring them back --sometimes after 20 years. Keep praying for him (I will) and for your mom…She must feel the terrible pains of mothering right now and needs your support. Tell her she is loved and in our prayers. May the holy spirit come upon all of you and bring you comfort, peace and wisdom…I try hard to remember the serenity prayer…you may know it but if not it is a simple and STRONG prayer.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference.
God works in mysterious ways. His timing is not always like we would like for it to be…but His clock never stops…I’ll keep you all in my prayers. Blessings from your sister, Diane

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Praying for your family.
Tell your mom “Lead a child to God & he will return”.
I’ll be praying for your brother to not stray far, and return quickly.

Thank you all for your prayers they are greatly appreciated.

I do feel bad though…first me now my brother…I hope at least one of the youngest ones stays true.
