My dear 82 year-old grandmother has just been hospitalized with what looks like pneumonia. She’s been in a frail shape since suffering a minor stroke on Good Friday of 2006. My mother took in her and my 94 year-old grandfather rather than putting then in a nursing home. It’s been a real chore as my mother is yet to retire and my father, though retired, has his hands full taking care of them during the day. My mother just hasn’t come to terms with the fact that my grandmother’s frail condition isn’t going to improve. My grandmother, though frail, is still in strong mental condition and refuses my mother’s efforts to get her further help getting around. She hasn’t been successful in getting her to use a wheelchair and hasn’t been able to get my grandparents to get flu shots.

Just please everyone, pray for God , if it’s His will, to allow her to recover from this. I ask that you also pray for me as the thought of the loss of my grandmother is something I can’t even conceive of.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Praying very hard…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Lord please help this family and all families.

Holy Mother Mary & St Joseph please intercede on behalf of this family and all families.

Glory be to the Father, tha Son & the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the begining, is now
and forever shall be, world without end.
Amen

Praying for your Nana, Brian my mum was 82 when we were told the same thing, it is hard to think you may need to live without the most important person in your life, stay strong for your mum she will find the strength to carry on and cope with it praying for you all:gopray2: :grouphug:

Brian, my heart goes out to you and your family, especially your grandmother. She is carrying her cross, and the whole family is witness to it. As Fr Corapi has said, “No pain, no gain. No cross, no crown. No Good Friday, no Easter Sunday.” These words may seem harsh as first reading, but actually, they are comforting to know that on the cross of suffering, we are beside Jesus on His cross, and He is with us, carrying us when we can no longer carry ourselves.

I will pray that He gives the healing necessary to bring your grandmother back to health. If that not be His will, I pray that she receive the graces necessary to carry her cross and for the family to receive the comforting graces to support you in this difficult time.

I ask our Blessed Mother to place all of you in the garden of Her Immaculate Heart for comfort and healing. She will bring all of our prayers to Her Son and intercede for us in our petition.

She must be a wonderful grandmother to have such a caring grandson like you. You will rejoice as you realize just how important this relationship is. Years later, I still recall the days my Nana and I slept in the same room and I learned so much about my faith and my Irish roots from our talks. Praying

I’ll pray for your nana. I still miss mine. she was my role model and she tought me how to say the rosary. so, in her memory I’ll say a prayer for your nana when I say my rosary. Keep the faith.

Praying for you, your Grand mother & your family in these difficult times.

Thank you all! She got thru her pneumonia just fine and my mother (at my and my wife’s urging) has kept her in the hospital to go thru a month-long rehab to help her get her strength back. This was a major event as my mother did not see the merit in this. But the doctors don’t see any reason for her to be so frail with regard to moving around so they want her to give it a try! I hope it works! She loves coming to visit but has a horrible time with my front steps!

Praise God! Thank you Mother Mary! I will keep her in my prayers. God bless you, Brian. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
