The saga continues, but I won’t bore you with all the details. I think my hubby now has the financial issues well in hand, which is a relief because some of it pertains to Medicare and the open enrollment will end at the end of this month, and I owuld hate to have a foul-up in it now.
Of big concern right now is that Dad says my bro and SIL are trying to convert him to Lutherinism, and he wants to stay a Catholic. I worry that if he goes down there alone that they might succeed, because Dad is not the strongest any more and he admits there’s a lot he doesn’t know about his faith. I try to teach him and support him. He needs an advocate. Do I not have an obligation to protect his faith from danger and therefore he should libve here with us and not down there? In sone ways this is like going through a divorce. I really hate it. I fear my Mom and I will never again be close, eswpecially because I take Dad’s side so much.
And so another day is gone, and tomorrow, as St. Benedict says, we begin again. I pray that my patience will continue; I find that I am more crabby and tense. Also I find that I drift into wishing one of them would die so that there would be an end to the whole thing. I’m sure this is the wrong way to think, but I am weak.
