My sister-in-law’s brother was in a serious ATV accident this morning. My brother and sister-in-law are still at the hospital; her brother’s condition is very critical and they’re not sure what the outcome will be. Prayers for her brother (Corey) and my SIL, Brandy, as well as her family, would be appreciated. Thank you.

I will keep them all in my prayers. (you too) Did they call a Priest for the Annointing of the Sick at all?

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

update from Corey’s CaringBridge site:
GREAT NEWS! We just saw the doctor. First, Corey’s head CT scan from this morning looks basically the same as the scan they took immediately after surgery last night. This is a HUGE praise, as that means there is no more air in his brain, nor fluid or hemorrhaging. Basically, this is the best we can hope for.
Then at about 4:00pm this afternoon, the nurses took Corey off of sedation so that the doctor could monitor him. His ICP (inner cranial pressure) went up pretty high, but Corey was able to respond to very specific and basic commands. He wiggled his toes and then stopped when the doctor told him to, as well as put his thumbs up and down! This is incredible! The doctor is amazed and very encouraged by this. Corey suffered a life threatening injury to his head so his brain has been severely damaged, we just don’t know to what level it will affect him. So seeing that he is responsive, able to move his limbs and respond to commands is the most incredible miracle we could hope for at this point!
Thank you for the prayers – they are working!!!

Praise God, continued prayers for him and all in your family (and you).

Father, we thank You for Your blessings to this family and ask their continuing recovery. Hold them close to You. Grant them the fullness of grace and healing, in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Trishie
