Please keep my son (Mateo 4) and I (Lupe) in your prayers. I’m still going through this divorce (almost 4 years) and it’s getting ugly. My soon to be ex-husband (RP) is becoming verbally abusive, has been driving by my house at night and has even threatened with taking our son from me.

I’m now the enemy and he knows that he can scare and manipulate me by using our son and showing up to my house uninvited. He’s said he would spend his last dime to win custody of our son and has accused me of taking what belongs to him.

I’m afraid of him, even though he’s never been violent he’s also never seen me as his enemy. People have done horrid things for much less so I am concerned for our safety. I’ve been praying that our Lord and the Blessed Mother protect us always and I’ve done what’s needed by alerting my attorney and contacting police. I also pray for him daily, that he may occupy himself with other things and he leaves us alone and for his conversion of heart.

This is a situation that requires much prayer and I know I can’t do it alone that’s why I’ve come to ask for your help. Please pray that we are protected and safe and that there is a quick, positive outcome to this situation so that I may discern where the Lord wants us. Thank you so much for your prayers!

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

Please continue to pray~Last night I had a very real, vivid dream that he had killed me:(, scared me terribly:frighten:. I’m sure it’s all in my head and I’m trying to “Be not afraid” but it’s hard…thank you all for your prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father, for the sake of the family humble the heart of Lupe’s ex-husband in obedience to the court’s orders and to live in peace with his estranged wife and son. May peace be in Lupe and Mateo’s heart during this trial they are facing. And may You heal their hearts toward each other for the sake of their son. Amen. Fiat.

Lupe, what is your ex-husband’s name? There is a need to pray for him. The devil, negativity, evil whatever you call it, is everyone’s enemy and we either listen to our higher self or negative self. It sounds like your ex-husband is listening to his lower self by his actions. Count him in your prayers. Its easier said than done but it will heal you too. But fear him not for God is beside you

Thank you so much for your words, they are very much a comfort. His name is Rafael and I do pray for him, I’ve done so since we separated. The only reason I was able to forgive him and be at peace was because I prayed for him, it’s one of the hardest things I’ve done, but the Lord gave me the strength.

I know that his thoughts are being influenced by the evil one because I’ve never considered him to be violent or dangerous. He sees me as “taking” what is his and I’m sure the evil one is reinforcing those thoughts. I just pray that this is over soon and we can move on and hopefully move away from him (or he moves away). Thank you for your continued prayers.
 
I will remember you and your son in my prayers but if necessary do not hesitate to seek the help of civil authorities—be it the police or court system.

*Oh Lexee, this post made brought tears to my eyes:(, you shouldn’t have to live in fear like this. I would get a restraining order…it seems like it would fit this situation, if you are that frightened. The laws are set up to protect women who are in situations just like you’re in.

Please know you are in my prayers. Lord, please watch over Lexee and her child, and give her peace of mind through this difficult situation. Please keep her and her family safe from her soon-to-be ex husband. Help her husband to get the help he needs also, so he can begin anew with his own life. In Jesus name, we pray–amen. :gopray:*
