Dear God of all creation, Divine Holy Spirit, and most merciful Jesus,

We beg you for a miracle for David. You who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal David and stop the cancer from growing any worse. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk. You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from the dead.

I ask you now please to send forth your healing power into David’s body and give him the strength to fight this illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

I also ask that you give strength and peace to David’s mother, Linda Marie, and the entire family through these difficult times and bless the medical staff and lead them to all the correct venues of medicine for his particular cancer,

Oh Dear Saint Jude of hopeless cases intercede for David so he may be cured of cancer, or at least let the cancer cease to grow.

Please Lord, through YOU all things are possible

Recent developments:

While he was receiving radiation treatment via the SIR spheres for his liver lesions, the chemo was suspended. Without the chemo, the initial tumour grew dramatically and caused a blockage. He had surgery to deal with it about a month ago and started another round of intensive chemo immediately.

He had another PET scan on Wednesday. The new chemo was completely ineffective and the cancer has spread to both his lungs. He will be seeing his oncologists today to discuss what they will do now, but it pretty much looks like palliative care only. There is nothing they can do.
