Results of the latest liver biopsy are positive for cancer, but a different type of cancer to the original tumour. He has been scheduled for an endoscopy to check for other tumours within his digestive system and more scans as well. He is also due to start radiation therapy next week.

The baby will be delivered tomorrow by Caesarian. Please pray for mom and baby to come through it all well.

Offering of the Holy Face:
Almighty and Eternal Father, since it has pleased Our Divine Savior to reveal to mankind in modem times the power residing in His Holy Face, we now avail ourselves of this Treasure in our great need. Since our Savior Himself promised that by offering to You His Holy Face disfigured in the Passion we can procure the settlement of all the affairs of our household, and that nothing whatsoever will be refused to us, we now come before Your throne.

I offer you my son, David. I ask for his healing, both body and soul, for Your Glory.

Eternal Father, turn away Your angry gaze from our guilty people whose face has become unsightly in Your eyes. Look instead upon the Face of Your Beloved Son; for this is the Face of Him in whom You are well pleased. We now offer You His Holy Face covered with blood, sweat, dust, spittle and shame, in reparation for the worst crimes of our age, which are atheism, blasphemy, and the desecration of Your holy days. We thus hope to appease Your anger justly provoked against us. The All-Merciful Advocate opens His mouth to plead our cause; listen to His cries, behold His tears, O God, and through the merits of His Holy Face hearken to Him when He intercedes for us poor miserable sinners.

My granddaughter was born on Friday by caesarian section. She and her mother are doing great. My son is over the moon. The hospital is letting him stay with them. He is starting his radiation treatment this week. Since they are at the same hospital, he only has to go downstairs.

My husband and I made it down to where they live for the weekend. We live so far away. It is an 8 hour drive or a 1 hour flight that costs $750, so we don’t get to see them very often.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. With the latest news about the liver lesions, I have started to lose all hope, which was very slim to begin with, that this cancer can be beaten. I fear the new scans and tests are going to find more tumours and that the chemo and radiation are only making the time he has left miserable. I believe that this time next year, he will no longer be with us.

Please pray for the conversion of their hearts to the Lord, for the salvation of their souls.

Please include my unborn grandchildren in your prayers. His wife suffers from endometriosis and they were unable to fall pregnant in the normal way. They went to IVF. On the plus side, they have not used donors and they refuse to implant more than one embryo at a time. The first round of egg harvesting and ivf resulted in 3 embryos. Two didn’t make it through the night. They implanted the one remaining and they thought she was pregnant. However, the scan at 8 weeks showed a blighted ovum. There was a placenta and amnio sac but no baby. The second round of egg harvesting produced 5 embryos. The first transferred did not implant. My newly born granddaughter was the second. They have 3 more embryos frozen.

At this point, I have been reluctant to ask about their plans for them, though I worry about what will happen to them. One thing at a time.
