Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,

Heavenly Father we ask You , in Your love and compassion , to hear and grant our prayers for Isabella and her son Jacob . We pray that You will fill her son with love and trust in You , and grant him strength and guidance in his life . Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers . Amen .

I feel so sad and so alone. My 19 year old son is away at college and he has called me and says he thinks he is gay. He says he is not attracted to girls and doesn’t know what is wrong with him. He also stated that he has been made fun of growing up and called “gay”, so he feels different. I am beyond heartbroken. I know with God all things are possible, and I humbly ask any of you who would be willing to pray for my precious son. I am in grief about the life I felt he might live someday. I am concerned for his soul.

Support your son, as I have no doubt you will. Many reasonable people, in fact most of them, believe that the Church is misguided for not having changed its teachings on homosexuality as it has over the years on many other “moral” issues. The rational evidence is that there is nothing wrong with your son. It is simply the way God made him.

Lead him to that which is Your will for him. Comfort his mother and give her peace. Help her to support and guide her son through this trial.
