Hi all. Back again with another prayer request. My son is attending a new Catholic school this year and, so far, I am not thrilled with what is going on at the school. As far as I’m concerned, it is not “Catholic”. I have run across this before at another school (strange goings-ons) and even went as far as the bishop - with no results. So, what I am asking is that we pray for all “Catholic” schools; that they truly teach the Catholic catechism and are in full obedience to the Magisterium. As Fr. Corapi once said: It’s easier for me to convert a hell’s angel biker, than a so-called “pseudo” catholic school." (paraphrased) So, please. Our priests need to get back to the true teachings of our faith and we need to pray for them also. Thank you all and God bless everyone.
p.s. I think I misquoted Fr. Corapi, but I think you all get the idea or at least I hope so…

You’ve just named the reason why my mom pulled my sister and I out of a Catholic school, sent us to public school, and taught us the Faith herself, well enough for us to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

As for understanding your quote, by a strange quirk of fate, my first date was an ex-Hell’s Angel … We simply had tea in a Chinese restaurant, it was all very innocent but makes for a good story. I find I tend to like biker types … and I like Father Corapi as well.

Praying for your son’s Catholic school …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Walt Love and Phoenix, thank you both for your prayers. It is a sad situation at that school. The religion teacher told the class she doesn’t agree with everything in the Bible, such as Adam & Eve. My son is reading a book on morality and the r.e. teacher said it has nothing to do with religion. What gives? I’m so disappointed again. Fortunately, I homeschooled both my kids under a Catholic (Seton) curriculum and they are very well educated in their faith. My son is really upset about some of the things said and done at the school. But he’s a sophomore, so I’ll probably keep him there till he graduates. At least “he” knows better than the school. Thank God Almighty! Thanks all for your prayers. Phoenix: too funny your first date was a Hell’s Angel! haha (or maybe not haha). Coincidentally, we both like Fr. Corapi. He’s great - straight to the point - no messin’ around!👍

You want to hear something bizarre, mom? My oldest brother and I are the only ones who didn’t go to Catholic school and we are the only ones out of 10 children who attend Church. Also, my oldest brother has special needs (MR) and faithfully attends church on Sunday’s and Holy Days of obligation.

Praying…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you for praying, Mary Ann. I did not attend Catholic schools either, and I attend Mass and taught my children catechism, the sacraments, morality, prayer, etc. They’ve turned out to be beautiful souls. Thank God. Our schools need much prayer. Thank you so much for your prayers; you are in mine.🙂

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

I think probably we are mostly all concerned about what seems to be a movement within our Church and communities. I will certainly be keeping our Catholic schools and leadership, including our priests, bishops and religious in daily prayer…“the gates of Hell shall not prevail”…which does not mean that we do not try anyway to stem a flow if it exists…
I will be keeping in prayer too your very real concern for your son and his Catholic education in the system…

Lord I ask that you enlighten the teachers , priests and nuns and all faculty of this mom4truth’s Catholic school and all Catholic schools to set an example for all students and parents to follow the Catholic faith and follow the bible and hear our Father’s will in all things . Lord let all Catholic school teachers hear your words and express your heart to the students and faculty and parents . thanks for hearing my prayer and for doing this for me and all Catholics , in the name of Jesus, amen . Pray Pray Pray everyone for all Catholic schools to be moral and to enlighten students to be Godly Catholic young Adults and children . Praise God . , your brother in Christ , John

I too have had great concerns over the quality of teaching, and leadership within the Catholic School. I did attend Catholic School growing up. Starting out in my earliest years with Nuns for teachers. (Have yet to overcome my fear of women in habits  ) My children both attended the public high school, mainly because they are fearful of the Catholic School here, it is actually a dangerous situation. The violence that occurs in that school is overwhelming. On Monday, yet one more student was stabbed - 7 times - by another student.
Something is missing, and I pray that our teachers and leaders may follow God’s wisdom, and restore the Catholic teaching, and principle in the schools.
My prayers are with you Mom4Truth.
