My wife Claudia has been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. We are both devastated by the news.

She will be undergoing a mascectomy, then followed by at least 4 months of chemotherapy. Please pray for the best outcome before, during, and after the surgery which is scheduled for Friday 2/1. Please also pray for our financial needs to be met since my wife won’t be able to work for 4-6 months and I will need to take time off to care for her after her surgery.

Thank you all so much for your prayers,

Gary

Dear Lord, please be with this family in their time of desperate need. Please grant the surgery be successful and the cancer be completely ridden from her body. Lord, guide the hands of her surgeon.

Gary, please let us know how everything goes for you next Friday. I will keep you both in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear about your wife. She will be in my prayers. I hope all goes well.

God Bless,

Gladys

Holy father guide the hand of the surgeon, let it be a successful operation, and please help this couples financial situation, i ask this in your holy name. Amen:gopray2:

I place you both into the Garden of our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart for protection and healing. Place all of your worries with Her Son. This is a heavy cross for you both to carry, but ask, and He will lighten your burden by taking it upon Himself. Pray to Her, as I will, that She takes all of our prayers, cleansed and purified, to Her Son for divine intervention.

Remember to trust in Him. I know it is hard not to worry and difficult to let go of all yours fear, but try as best you can to offer these fears up to Him.

I give every beat of my heart and every breath to our Blessed Mother this day for your wife’s healing. I will pray to Her, our Heavenly Mother, for a successful operation and complete healing, both of the body and the soul. Anyone that wishes to join in this small offering is welcome. She will take our offerings to Her Son as a sign of our devotion and love for our heavenly parents, and intercede with Him for you.

“Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petition, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.”

Gary,

I am praying for your wife. I pray also that you and everyone else around her will find strength and peace in the Lord through this trial. Lord have mercy.

Hi Gary

I’m praying very hard for you and your family, and I just wrote a note to myself remembering to dedicate tonight’s rosary to you and your family. Know that you have much support in the Body of Christ.

Thank you for your prayers.

I just love this church, and I appreciate so much the love and support I am receiving. It’s really helping me to deal with this situation. Thank you all again, and God bless you.

You and your wife are in our prayers.

My wife had her mastectomy 11/27, the day before our 37th wedding anniversary and started chemo 1/3. Her chemo will run through the end of May (every other week) for the first stretch and then once a month for the following year.

The type and frequency of the treatment will determine how it affects her, and new drugs have lessened the effects for many. My wife’s treatments are on Thursday, with a follow-up shot on Friday to stimulate bone marrow output. She is usually very tired on Saturday, but better on Sunday and is back at work on Monday.

It all sounds, I’m sure, very overwhelming right now. But there is a lot of support available. The American Cancer Society is a great source.

If you have any questions for the husband of a breast-cancer patient’s husband, feel free to pm me.

Bill
