Please pray again for this person, and thanks for your previous prayers:
My neighbor has not much time left and nowhere to go. She was granted an additional 30 days by the court about two weeks ago so there is little time remaining. The local attorney who was taking her case for free said that there’s nothing further he can do.
She is answering advertisements in the local newspaper but the apartments are often rented by the time she answers the ads and her financial situation limits the options available to her.
I called a local social service agency that helps elders who are in danger of being homeless find housing (with her permission) and they promised to speak with her but they were unable to promise to find a place for her. There are no relatives with whom she can stay and she is concerned that she may be thrown “right out into the street.”
Thanks in advance.
The company that now owns the loan has since foreclosed. Please pray for my neighbor who is in danger of being evicted from her residence.
She was part owner of the house along with her daughter and son-in-law. They tricked her into signing a second mortgage on the house so that he could pay his back taxes. They never repaid the loan, and it seems that the company that holds the mortgage may foreclose and my neighbor will have no place to live.
My neighbor is in her 70s, in poverty, and has no work experience. She could live in subsidized housing but thinks she would never be able to adjust to living in a new location, and is very upset at the thought of having to do this.
My neighbor is a dedicated Catholic and someone who has never done anything in her life to hurt anyone else. However, she has told our local priest that she is thinking of no longer attending our church, as she might be uncomfortable there in the presence of people who know her and of her situation.
