Please pray for neighbor who may be evicted

Please pray for my neighbor who is in danger of being evicted from her residence.

She was part owner of the house along with her daughter and son-in-law. They tricked her into signing a second mortgage on the house so that he could pay his back taxes. They never repaid the loan, and it seems that the company that holds the mortgage may foreclose and my neighbor will have no place to live.

My neighbor is in her 70s, in poverty, and has no work experience. She could live in subsidized housing but thinks she would never be able to adjust to living in a new location, and is very upset at the thought of having to do this.

My neighbor is a dedicated Catholic and someone who has never done anything in her life to hurt anyone else. However, she has told our local priest that she is thinking of no longer attending our church, as she might be uncomfortable there in the presence of people who know her and of her situation.

I did pray for this being it’s Feb first tomorrow too.How is she?
 
I’m praying for your neighbor right now that they may not lose their home. I pray also that they will hold on to their faith and that grace will sustain them in this difficult time of their lives. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
 
That is bad 😦 I understand some of what she is going through we will pray to St Jude.

On May 12 her house was sold at a foreclosure auction. She received a letter dated May 21 from the attorneys for the company that bought the house stating that she is expected to leave the premises by June 30. Her attorney said he might be able to postpone the actual eviction to about August.

She is very upset and does not think that she will be able to adjust to having to move.

I’m praying for her now!
It is such a shame when these elderly people are taken advantage of. Especially by a family member.

I’m really having a hard time not being angry with this family member. They should be ashamed of themselves!

My neighbor has found a new place to live, with two friends who attend her church, and she will have her own apartment right near her church. The friends will be charging her only a small amount for rent.

Although she is still upset about having to leave her home, the situation is much better than it could have been.
