Please pray for the protection of our Christian brothers and sisters who are now being routinely crucified if they do not convert to Islam.

Below is one of many news stories :

ISIS’ Beheadings, Crucifixion, Stonings Witnessed by 13-Year Old; Terror Group Indoctrinating Young Minds

Worse atrocities are being carried out on Christian woman who are pregnant. These men are not acting in the name of God. They are evil and only the power of prayer will stop them.

look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,

As a Catholic of Iraqi descent, this really hits close to home for me. May the Lord protect them and bring about an end to this evil.

Send dreams and visions to the terrorists that they might know that Jesus came to show the world that God is a God of Love and not a god who calls for the slaughter of innocents. Christ have mercy, in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit:

Oh, God, I feel so helpless when I hear these stories. What more can we do but come once more, pleading Your mercy on behalf of our suffering brothers and sisters?! Their trials mount before them endlessly. Their belongings are plundered, their homes destroyed. They are tortured and killed moment by moment for Your sake. Their children are ripped away and savagely murdered. Grant them courage to continue standing for You, despite this terrible adversity. Numb their wounds, dear Jesus. If death must come, let it be swift, that their misery is ended and their reward quickly bestowed in Your loving arms.

Jesus, we cry earnestly to You for Your intervention. Send deliverance to Your children, as You deem fit. Surround them with Your angels. Let not one of them live or die alone. Move upon the hearts of men and women who have authority to save them! If there be any refuge on earth, let it be given to them. There are parishes even now that sponsor persecuted families; may this good work continue! Whatever can be done, let it be so, merciful Jesus, to the honour and glory of Your name!

O, gracious Father, these people walk bravely in the steps of Your Saints before them. Satan would destroy the Bride of Christ; but we know–and he knows–the best of his plots are futile. He cannot and will not defeat or destroy us; for, as Job once said:

“I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me!” (Job 19:25-27)

This is the promise we have in You, our Lord Jesus Christ, that if we believe and are faithful, we shall, by the merit of Your wondrous sacrifice, receive eternal life. Hence, as we pray for our fellow Christians, let us also be inspired and emboldened; that if ever we are called to such a crucible, we shall endure it by Your grace as they have and continue to do. Lord, be with them. Mighty and precious Saviour, strengthen them, and heap awful judgement upon the wicked who daily assail them, according to Your will.
