Lord Jesus, please fill our hearts with Your divine peace.
For our spirits are worried and anxious,
and our minds race and obsess in fear.
We cannot help dwelling on our problems,
and the more we think about them,
the more despondent we become.
We feel like we are falling into a dark abyss,
from which there is no return.
Calm us, Lord.
Steady us, and fill our hearts with Your divine grace.
Lord, no matter what problems we have,
You are greater,
You are more powerful.
So we bring our sorrow to You.
Though we know our own will,
we do not know Your will Lord,
nor do we know how You will use this despair for our salvation.
We are ignorant of what good You will bring forth from this burden.
But Lord Jesus, we trust in You.
We trust in Your goodness and Your wisdom.
So we place ourselves in Your calming hands.
Please fill our hearts and soul with Your peace.
