Please pray for my grandma Phylis. She is suffering badly from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). She has been fighting against this disease for some time now employing breathing exercises, dietary changes, and of course daily prayer. However despite all of her efforts she is still in a lot of pain and her condition is not improving. She has spent a lifetime serving others, often people she didn’t know. It would be wonderful if now people she doesn’t know could serve her with their prayers. Thank you.

I will pray for her.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Thanks again to all of you for your prayers. I truly appreciate it. On a side note though, I’m Phylis’ grandson, not her granddaughter. 😛

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Thank you all again for your prayers. My grandmother is a fighter and even though this is a condition she’ll have for the remainder of her life she’s still trying her hardest every day to do various breathing exercises. She even calls up enough strength to walk on a treadmill for a few minutes some days. I’m certain your prayers joined with hers have been helpful to her. She never ceases to amaze me not only with her strength, but with her refusal to become dismayed or self-piteous. She suffers more than most people I know and yet is also happier than most people I know.

Thank you all again.

Dear Jesus,
Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick,
we turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the Troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God,
we place our worries in Your hands.
We ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all,
grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will
and know that whatsoever You do,
You do for the love of us.
Amen
